Very slow progress

$20,000
It's been 6 months and yes my nose is still so so swollen, I'm having difficulty breathing thru my nose as it feels so blocked, this is really getting me down, not to mention so disappointed with results thus far. My nose still feels quite spongy, which concerns me at the 6th month mark. Some readers have suggested steroid injections, should I be asking my surgeon for these. I would really appreciate any input any of you can share. It would be most appreciated.
Thanks Connie

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having. My surgeon almost gave me steroid injections because I was so swollen but finally decided not too because the swelling went down on its own. Have you talked to your surgeon about this? What did he recommend?
I don't have an Appt with him till mid Jan, but will keep you all posted. Thanks
how are you doing?
Yes, how are you now?
From what I can tell, there is some improvement from the original. It looks like you have thick skin --which poses a problem in the way it heals after nose surgery (though thick skinned people age very well!) Good luck on your progress.
Hi Connie, I think your nose looks great and hopefully the other issues will sort out soon. Best wishes Nene.
big improvement between nov and dec! good luck
The shape is looking far better, I think it'll look good when all the swelling has gone down. He's given you a straight profile and the pollybeak has gone

Very disappointed, 22 weeks post surgery

I haven't updated in a while as I didn't have anything positive to update but thought it was time to post an update with the raw truth of a very disappointing outcome. So my infection to the cartilage has persisted, my nose feels extremely blocked still, I hope this will correct itself once the swelling finally settles, and most disappointingly nothing at all resembling the photo imaging we had discussed as a desired outcome. Dr HOWARD WEBSTER is aware of my disappointment and making all efforts to work with me, that I have to grant him but this is far from being one of his better outcomes. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Going to one of the 'best surgeons' doesn't always equate to a great outcome. This being my third rhinoplasty I can anticipate the recovery and I know I will not achieve the perfection I desired. Left very sad and disappointed.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment connierose.
You are still swollen. Your nose needed alot of work doing and your tip will get smaller. Your doctor must have told you that it will take minimum 12 months upto even 2 years for final results
Thankyou, patience is not my good points.
I know hun but patience and hope is all we can have now. Im nearly 2 months post op still swollen but got to be patient
Thankyou, it's comforting to hear someone is going through a similar journey.
Believe me after a year it will change greatly.. got to go through the bad phase to have the good times :)
Sorry to see that things didn't go as you hoped. Are you considering another revision?
Definitely not, just patience
Howard has made himself available each and every time I have had a concern, even outside of office hours just to see me and address my concerns. He's aftercare has surpassed all my expectations. I know we will get there eventually.
How are things?
This is a great result. When I saw your original nose (after the second surgery) I felt so badly for you. Now, I see a pretty woman... your nose looks really good. You may not be able to see it in yourself, but the difference is HUGE and you now an attractive woman with a great nose.

10 weeks on and very disappointed

It has been exactly 10 weeks since my surgery and I cannot even express how disappointed I am. I thought paying a costly price for a reputable surgeon would have guaranteed me the best results, I certainly am not feeling that now. As you can see from the pictures it is hardly a desirable result. Added to that my nose is still extremely blocked and very uncomfortable to breathe. I don't know if this is a result of this being my third Rhinoplasty that I'm experiencing a slow recovery. I have expressed this to Dr Howard Webster and he tells me I must be patient as its still very swollen but I can't see it being an attractive nose even after the swelling subdides. I would appreciate if anyone can share there results with being very unhappy to suddenly miraculously after the swelling s beautiful nose appears. Something to give me some hope. Am so sad at the results from what I thought was going to be an amazing result from a reputable surgeon.

Sorry you're feeling that way. I'm experiencing similar disappointment. Wish you the best and who knows--maybe in time the improvements might surprise you. :)
Your profile is great. Give it Abit of time hopefully you see improvements
I've just posted on another persons review and I'll echo what I said there, I have had 3 surgeries in total. First in December 2009, then a revision in April 2011 and finally my last one in August 2013. So since it all started this is the longest I have gone without a surgery since it all started. There has been a marked difference in swelling from the 1 year to the 3 year mark. Even at 2 years I still had swelling. At 10 weeks post my third revision I was extremely swollen. Completely difference nose to now. It's a long hard wait. x
Thankyou KAPM, this gives me some hope
unfortunately as i have told people over and again, aussie drs just dont have the skills for rhino and i would never recommend it after my experience. The amount that you pay is just not worth it. Im so sorry to hear youre not happy with your results, i feel your pain. Hopefully there are still some changes to come, you are very early days
I think your nose has improved greatly. (Your tip doesn't have a polly break issue anymore). Maybe your surgeon will offer a minor tip procedure after you're done healing.
