A/B Cup to D Cup - Australia, AU

I had my breast augmentation done in 2013 after wanting the surgery for many years but being unsure about the whole process. After seeing and hearing positive experiences from a few friends I decided to start doing some research. After hours and hours of googling and looking up sizes, reviews, surgery experiences, doctors profiles etc I decided to call ARC plastic surgery and discuss further. I spoke with Richards assistant Kristy lee who was very helpful and decided to book a consultation. I had thought that I would go to a few before choosing, but after my experience with Richard and his team I felt confident that he was the right surgeon for me. One of my major concerns was coming out with huge fake looking boobs but Richard was able to help me get that natural looking size. I was about a A/B cup prior to surgery and was wanting a large c - small D cup We went with the 300cc implants and now I haven't been fitted but almost 3 years on am around a small D cup. I am so happy that in the size I went as I can still do everything I did before and don't have any discomfort when exercising which was very important for me. Many people don't even know about my surgery because of how natural they look. Other friends that have had surgery went to surgeons who just use the bras that you put on for size which I don't feel gives you the best idea of the outcome. At ARC they use computer technology which uses your photos and adds in the size so you can get a much better idea of what they would look like. I obviously also got to see the implant size and hold them in my hands etc, but seeing up on the screen was the best part. I also got sent these images to look at post consultation so I didn't have to decided there and then what I was having. The day of surgery I was so excited and had a great experience with the the hospital. Following surgery I found sleeping hard as you need to sleep on your back initially and I'm normally a side sleeper but again it was only at the start. It was quite painful in the days following surgery and I needed my boyfriend to help with dressing and showering just as I was quite right and tender. This only lasts about a week, and then slowly things start to go back to normal. I was very mindful to follow Richards instructions around exercise, driving etc as I wanted the best outcome. They are quite swollen initially, and looking in the mirror they felt much bigger and higher than I had expected and the skin is very tight. Doesn't last long and it goes down, skin looks better and they appear "lower". Scarring is very very minimal and the only way to see it is when you lift up the boob and look closely, again I have seen scarring from others that is much thicker and noticeable, however I'm sure everyone's skin also makes the healing different but I couldn't be happier. I think the most important thing is to think very hard about the reasons that you want them and make sure they are for you and not because of social media or someone else and do LOTS of research. I thought about this surgery for 6 years before I took the leap.
