So March 8th will be here in no time. Wondering when you do your labs? Is that after the pre op appt? What do they look for? I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. I have had a belly for so long, this really will be life changing.

I am now a month post op with Dr. Craven. You can follow my story if you'd like. I did my pre-op appointment 2 weeks before the scheduled surgery. You go and get your labs right after that. The sooner the better after they hand you the details of what they want tested. They do a complete blood count to make sure nothing looks horribly off and you don't have any disease or issue that could cause problems. They also look for clotting factors with your blood to make sure nothing is abnormal there as well. It's all for safety so they know if there are any special risks or things they need to do before putting you under and cutting you open. :-) I am thrilled with my results so far! I've been to the office 8 times and yesterday was the first time I had to wait. The doctor was behind by 30 minutes but all other times I was seen within 5 minutes of being there.

Welcome!!! You and I look like we have similar shapes. I carried around my inner tube for 20 years!!!! It's a big move but you'll be so happy you did it. I'm still healing but really happy with the big change. They won't do your labs until a couple weeks before probably- just a basic chemistry panel for blood counts, etc. I also had a basic ECG. Can't wait to see your story continue- March will be here soon!

So I am sooo tired of this extra tire I have. No matter how much exercise I do I can not get rid of it. So I've been reading about tummy tucks. Even watched a couple surgeries on you tube. I've had a consultation, made my deposit, and scheduled my surgery for March 2016. I would've done sooner but taking a trip late November for my Bday.

I just had a Tummy Tuck with Dr. Craven (4 days ago on Nov. 3rd) and so far I am thrilled. He did exactly what he said he was going to, and I am happy so far. I will probably write an official review with photos, after my one week follow up appointment so that I can hopefully help others feel at ease about going to him. You haven't met him? Did you just have a consult with Trudi? When I went in I had a consult with Trudi AND the doctor. I actually went back for a second consult because I just didn't want to believe that a tummy tuck was the only way to fix my situation. I went to another doctor as well and then I came to terms with the fact that I did have really bad diastasis, and needed umbilical hernia repair as well. Surgery was the only way to fix it. Dr. Craven was really nice and he spent a lot of time with me when I went in for the pre-op appointment. When I just did the free consults, he was a little more brief but still very friendly and smiley. I did a ton of research and looked at a lot of before and after pictures so I felt comfortable moving forward. So far everything is just as I had hoped and expected.
I am overly thrilled for you. Remember, relax,don't stress, and have plenty of proteins.take your laxatives and don't miss a pill !!! Get yourself gasx it helps. Stay positive, it helps. You have just done the best thing for you & welcome to your NEW you.

Thank you Kristina and Toni I only had consult with Trudi. ..after a day I paid my deposit...I won't meet doctor until my pre open appt in feb. But I am very excited. ..I loved his work out of them all really. ..and Trudi raved about him. ..I have been watching videos and reading posts. .I'm very excited and I can not wait. .march will be here before I know it!!
