Look ma! No cuss words!! ;p

It's been 10 months and life has been in full swing. I've been meaning to write an update, but get distra...Squirrel!...mom, mom, mom! :D

Just to forewarn, it may sound like I'm complaining, I'm not, just going to share some of my realities.

I'm 100% glad I did this. The only thing I wish I had done differently was to lose more weight beforehand and not gained after ;). Still would do it again in a heatbeat.

Sadly I have managed to gain weight, that is one reason I've been slow to update. I was getting back into a good routine, but I was/am slipping on my food choices, food has always been my issue, then I sprained my ankle. So there's that. My reality. The TT is not the magic fix all, you have to maintain and work for it. I knew this going in, just wanted to voice it in case anyone wasn't sure. ;)

My scar, well it is not pretty. It has stretched and has some lumpy spots.
:( Also it is still pink/red/purple, it gets darker when I rub oil on it. I taped my scar until 7 months, my Dr said to tape until it was flat. :/ The lumpy parts aren't my scar, it feels like it it's underneath (scar tissue?). I still rub either Emu oil, coconut oil, or Fat face body butta on it. I want to see my Dr, but want to loose some weight first, that way maybe he can lower my scar if we do a revision. I also worry about my muscle repair failing, its hard to tell if it has or if it is just fat. That's another reason why I need to lose weight before seeing my Dr, last visit he told me it was fat :D I appreciate the honesty. My husband is ok with me getting some lipo, but again I want to loose weight first (not sure why if it will all get sucked out, ha!). Nothing is planned, just my thoughts and wishes.

I believe I have Visceral Fat and Subcutaneous fat, I think this is one of the reasons its hard for me to tell if its just fat or failed muscle repair.

At 10 mos I am still very tight, I still have to lay flat to stretch it out, and during long car rides I get uncomfortable from being scrunched for too long. It's pretty weird, I am numb still on my skin, but can feel pressure and little things underneath. I can feel most of my scar. It can get uncomfortable when my panties or jeans sit on my scar, which most do. Still not sure if my scar is high or my BB is low :D
When I have my period and/or eat too much crap I get severely uncomfortable, like put on my binders to relieve the pressure uncomfortable. That all goes back to my food choices, when I'm doing good, I don't feel so bad. I have a slight "dog ear" on one side, not a huge issue. I'm ok with how my BB has turned out, but it does look better when I suck in, its looks less stretched out, lmao :D :(

Working out...about month 2 or 3 I started with some spin classes, the occasional bootcamp, and some run/walking. I ran a 10k in September (6 mo PO). I didn't have any issues only normal swelling. I took it easy and eased back in to get to know my body and not hurt myself. Once the kids were back in school I started back at Crossfit, started slow considering it had been 6 months since lifting any weights. It felt good, I was happy to be regaining my strength, but my stupid ankle had to be a little [RS bleep] and start hurting. I'm pretty sure it came from losing muscle in my ankle and doing some running in my racing flats instead of my more supportive shoes, then walking on Halloween in shoes with no support just pushed it over the edge. It still isn't completely healed, but slowly, very slowly it's getting better. I've been staying off of it as much as possible. I still won't do crunches/sit ups or anything of the sort, per the advice of some other reviews I've read. I will do the occasional plank as long as I'm holding or sucking in my abs. If something forces me to push my abs out I won't do it.

I weighed myself for the first time in a while :( and took pics. Wow they are not flattering! Between the fat and unflattering angle they are just ugly, but whatever, you can't do an update with out pictures :D

Hope all my ladies are doing well!!

Time to get off my ass and out of my head!

I'm getting off my ass this week, out of my head and getting my jaw wired shut!! Ok, ok not going to wire my jaw shut, but I'm going to make good food choices, I know how, just have to do it...

My goals for this week are to run at least 2 times, walk 3 times, and include a light workout on the days I walk. I have found a couple workouts on YouTube. I did them last week one time and I was embarrassingly sore from them ;D

Happy swelling ladies!! ;)

Fugly pics for Upnorth

Swelling, mexican food, and I need to tinkle!

Is there really such a thing as a "normal" looking belly button? Ha!
