$8,800
I have always had huge thighs but after losing 140+ pounds and a tummy tuck. I was finally able to have the procedure I longed for. Dr. Andrew Trussler's office contacted me after I went on a independent website looking for cosmetic surgeons in the Austin Texas area. I had a free consultation with dr Trussler he was very patient and informative about the inner and outer thigh lift I needed. His staff was as friendly and caring as he was. They made me feel safe and confident in myself and my procedure. It has been 5 months now since my surgery and even though I wasn't sure what to really expect and have issues with the recovery ( due to unforeseen circumstances). I will say they look a lot better. I have a few issues with my outer thighs and Dr. Trussler and his staff are wiling to work with me to assure I am totally happy with my results. I will say I am very fortunate to have such a very caring physician who is going way above what other physicians would do. Stay tune for future pictures and results.

Wow you look great:) I really need my thighs done I have lost 110 lbs and they have lots of extra skin. How was your recovery what issues did you have. I'm concerned doing mine as I have two very small children with the down time and all.

Hi , I was down for awhile. My husband said only two weeks but I am sure it was longer ( at least it felt longer). I can not say for everyone but I can't imagine having your thighs down and having two small ones to take care of. You may only be down only two weeks. But you will need someone to help you with daily functions and the children. Good luck.

Do you have lipodemia? My sister was diagnosed with this and liposuction was recommended for her

Its just a condition that describes the fatty deposits on our legs. Usually the fat is mainly localized below the waist. So you would have a small waist but big thighs or huge hips (as my sis does) ... Google the word, but you took the necessary steps to alleviate the condition, if you even have it.. I know the main thing is that you cant get rid of the fat through diet and exercise.

If you plan on losing a lot of weight I would do that first. But you can tighten up your muscles and the skin may tighten up. Also if you loose some weight and your legs have even more lose skin that's more you can take off. Bottom line my legs had always been Hugh. When I lost weight they be came really flabby they tone up very little. I could see the difference but it wasn't enough. I need the thigh reduction. My reduction cost nearly $9000.00. But I had aggressive lipo done. It is well worth it. Especially if that is the area that keeps you from thinking you look good. Dr Trussler who has a office in westlake in Austin is a great surgeon Can't say enough about him and he will work with you to get the best results for your money. Hope this helps.

Revision surgery on 12/21/15
I had a inner and outer thigh reduction surgery on June of 2015. I wasn't totally satisfied with the results of the surgery. My thighs measured 29 inches each before. after my initial surgery they measured 25 inches each which is a good reduction. But as I had stated in my original post I had ripped open my insions not once but twice. So I had some scares that I really did not care for. I had at my highest weight weighed 300 lbs. I had a gastric by pass in 2003 which resulted in a 150 lb weight loss. But I had a lot of loose skin and fatty deposits. Dr Andrew Trussler not only did a great job the first time he listen to my concerns of my results. Being the great doctor he is he preformed a second surgery on my inner and outer thighs. He made it possible to schedule the procedure when it worked with my schedule even though it was during his most busiest time year. I am now 11 days out I was in the office Tuesday and we are both happy with the healing process thus far. I will see him next week to take the stitches out and to check on the progress. I feel as I am extremely lucky to have a surgeon who not only listens to me but also cares about my concerns. Will keep RS updated.

Items that will help with recovery
I saw a post on here telling things that will help with your recovery.
First- if you can have someone around who can help you for at least the first 7 to 10 ldays your life will be a lot better.
Second- a walker will help you get around a lot easier for getting up and down.
Third - a height extended toilet seat would make it easy to get on and off ( and you don't have to stand to do your business yuck)
Forth - a extended grabber ( the thing with the little hands ( former lack of a better word) ) would make it easier to reach things.
Fifth- a shower seat ( or anything that high and sturdy) will make it easier to get up and down.
Six- a fitted garment one with the opening in the crotch makes going to the bathroom easier in the first week or so. Also helps with swelling.
Now I never had #'s 2,3,4 but after I had my second procedure I see where these things would have helped. I am one of the lucky ones my husband was able to stay with me for the first two weeks.
