My original rhinoplasty was done around 8 years...

My original rhinoplasty was done around 8 years ago. It never seemed to heal correctly. The tip was hard on one side and felt as though a small ball was stuck inside. When I smiled, my nose looked uneven. I had come to regret having anything done.

After reading reviews about Dr. Maggi, I decided to see him for a consultation. He spent a lot of time listening to me and explaining what needed to be done. With a wedding in my near future, I decided to have the revision. They were able to schedule my surgery quickly and within 3 weeks I had my pre-op appointment.

During pre-op, the nurse explained exactly what I needed to do before, the day-of, and after surgery. She also explained what would happen during surgery to a certain extent. (I didn't want to know the details.) Dr. Maggi went over my goals extensively. I left feeling prepared, informed, and confident that we were all on the same page. I had my bloodwork done that day and was ready to go.

A few days later, I had surgery, which was the Monday before Thanksgiving. Right on time, they took me back to the OR and prepped me for surgery. Before I knew it, it was over! Dr. Maggi explained that he had to completely reconstruct my nose due to the job the doctor did eight years ago.

Recovery was better than I expected. I followed all their instructions and was even able to enjoy Thanksgiving a few days later.

I'm only 2 weeks out from surgery, so my nose is still a little swollen. But, I'm extremely happy with the result.

From the first phone call to the appointment I had a few hours ago, the staff had been nothing but friendly. I have a warm welcome each time I enter the office and they have been patient with all my questions. The nurses are amazing. In the OR, they were comforting when I was nervous. They made the day of surgery far less daunting. As I woke up from the anesthesia, they made sure I was comfortable and safe. One of the nurses shared her cell phone number with me, in case we had any questions or needed something during the night. At my follow-up appointments, Lisa has been incredible. My nose needed to be cleaned at each visit both inside and out. She has been extremely gentle and thorough at each appointment. She also gave me her cell phone number in case I needed anything or had any questions. Lisa made what could have been some nerve-wracking appointments, comfortable and calm. Dr. Maggi has been fantastic. During my consultation and pre-op appointment, he spent a lot of time with me. He listened to my concerns and asked me questions about what my goals were for the end result. He explained the procedure and what to expect and what exactly he could do to help "fix" my nose. He asked for many pictures of nose that I wanted for myself (I chose Blake Lively's nose as goal). Even right before they wheeled me into the OR, he went over my goals one more time. I'm only 2 weeks post surgery, and I can assure you...I have a Blake Lively nose! I am extremely thankful to have Dr. Maggi as my surgeon. He and his staff have made this experience much easier than I could have ever imagined. I never once felt rushed or pressured to have anything done. I was apprehensive about having anything done, because of the result of my first surgery eight years ago. Even though I still have some swelling (expected and part of the process), I am really happy and glad I went through with the revision.
