I had a breast augmentation with 470cc of silicone gel under the muscle and a full tummy tuck.
For many years I've been wanting the Mommy Makeover surgery. I gained an unusual amount of weight during my pregnancy, then after losing all my pregnancy I lost an additional 30 lbs. to get down to my lowest weight since I was in middle school. But the result were deflated breasts (A/B cup) and a totally flat, tummy that looked like I had octuplets (lots of loose, saggy skin). I knew that no matter how much I exercised it would never go away. So I decided to go for it and get both the breast augmentation and the full tummy tuck. Although I am only one week post-op, so far this whole journey has been worth every penny.

I'm loving my new breast implants. It's amazing how something like this makes you feel so much more womanly and empowered. I felt so insecure before especially in intimate situations because I always wore padded bras, so once you take a padded bra off and have no cleavage to speak of it's, well, a little embarrassing to say the least. At this point I have only two concerns about the breasts. First is whether or not they will "shrink" and "drop" significantly. I was not one of these patients that was trying to go for a natural, I'm not telling nobody I have implants look. If they looked fake, it really wouldn't have bothered me. What I was looking for, was definite cleavage of at least a large D/DD size. I am definitely quite happy with the results as I think the size they are at right now is perfect. But if it looses its fullness and "shrinks" I think I'll definitely be a little disappointed and wish I had gone to 500cc instead of 470cc. Which reminds me, it's so interesting how the same number of ccs can look so different from person to person. I had a friend who is the same height and weight as me that got 450cc yet her implants look significantly larger than mine. Funny how we are all built different!
Second breast concern is, the lower right corner of the left breast I can feel a protrusion. I'm guessing it's my implant poking out. Been trying to massage it into place, but it definitely feels a little sore and out of place. Hoping it will just go away with time.
Otherwise the breasts have been healing beautifully as if nothing ever happened.
Now on to the big one... the tummy tuck. Boy, is this recovery taking forever. I am 9 days post-op but still walking in the awkward, hunched over position. I find it amusing to see the reaction I get from people in public. They keep asking me if I'm okay because I guess it looks like I got punched in the stomach. Well a girl's gotta get out, keep living, and doing errands as usual, right? The good news is that I'm completely off pain meds so as of yesterday was able to start driving again. Yay! Yesterday also marked the first day I took a shower.
The bad news? Well, the tummy is still extremely swollen. Although I am pleased with the results since it's a vast improvement from what it was before, I'm just surprised that my tummy protrudes out almost like I'm 5 months pregnant. If you look at my before pics, you'll see that my tummy was flat as a washboard, but with lots of loose, saggy skin (which is why my PS thought I was the perfect candidate.) Now I definitely have a protruding belly and at this stage it's so hard to imagine what it'll look like once the swelling goes away. Hopefully no more loose skin!
Two days ago I had my one-week post-op visit. It went well, although I was just a bit concerned with how swollen my tummy still is (hoping it's not a seroma). I will have a follow up visit next week so hopefully the swelling will get better. She also took my drains out, which I will say has honestly been the most painful part of this whole experience for me. It was such a strange, awkward feeling and stung so bad!
I don't think I mentioned this before, but another strange thing that has happened is that I gained 12 lbs. while in the hospital. My original weight was 128 lbs. and when I came home from the hospital I was 140 lbs.! I knew it wasn't fat because I didn't eat anything during my stay, but it was bizarre nonetheless. Sad part is I've only lost about 6 of those pounds and still have another 6 left to go before I'm at my pre-surgery weight. So I've been very careful to make sure I eat right since I'm not able to exercise.
So that's about it. How is everyone feeling?

1st off congrats on ur new body! But let me say healing does take forever it seems :/ you gaining weight is normal because it's actually from the swelling,holding,fluid,etc....that in time will lessen...watch ur sodium intake as this worsens the swelling! Good luck on ur journey :)

Congrats! I am 3 weeks post op and want to say that its exciting but ALOT like riding a roller coaster. Some days you feel on the top of the hill and others like your emotions get away from u and u wonder if it was all worth it and is it really an improvement. Lol. It IS worth it. It just takes a while to get rid of the fluid and swelling. Today is a down day but later may be better!! You already look great!! Be encouraged! Your not alon!!

Thank you Ak777free! Today is one of those low days. I got excited and went shopping for summer dresses only to come home super sore like I just came home from the hospital. Eek.

Don't forget that your new boobies probably weigh a couple of pounds more than before.. And, the fluids you will retain for healing is normal, and is probably the weight gain you are seeing. I would consider drinking more water, and maybe even add some 100% cranberry juice as a deuretic..What ever you do, be sure to get good nutrients in you for quickter more effective healing. Eating small portions, lower sodium, lower carb meals packed with nutrition is the way to go! I think that you are going to have amazing results, as you already look great! Keep positive, and remember that your mind can be over matter, and can even help you heal more effectively. I am excited to follow your journey!! Congratulations on making it to the other side!
