The procedure with Dr.Reid and his staff went...
WORTH IT$3,300
The procedure with Dr.Reid and his staff went better than I could have ever dreamed today, they kept me updated and ensured I was comfortable with warm blankets, and calming music. They communicated beautifully throughout the entire process including pre-op. The entire staff was willing to answer any and all questions I had pre-op and even communicated with me directly after to make sure I was leaving fully aware of my after care and had all the medication I needed at home ready to go.

Day of treatment
Day 1: few hours after procedure
Incredibly difficult to eat even really soft foods/drink water. But used a cold compress as reccomended and have kept my head elevated since I got home which has helped (in collaboration with the medication) reduce swelling tons! So excited.

Congratulations

Wishing you easy healing. Scheduled for permalip the 25th, but I keep wanting to cancel. Love fillers, but expensive and don't last... so I got this big idea, now what if they are not big enough or clownishly too big. Worried about making a regrettable decision. Any guidance or advice? Your lips look beautiful, bet you're happy!

I would just bring in photos of what you're wanting so they can give you a realistic expectation of what you'll get based on your wish list photos for your lip. A lot of people get a smaller permalip and put fillers on top of them later if they want to be just a little extra sometimes. There's a ton of swelling involved in this procedure so it'll feel uncomfortable and clownish before you get to see how great it is :) I would go with the 4mm if you're worried about going to overboard

Thank you.... I will take your advice about bringing photos. What would you rate the pain?
I can't really take time off work ( I work for my husband ) and have to face customers.... So torn at this point! So glad you are kind enough to share your journey, it's such a help!

Taking three days off including the day of your procedure is something I would highly highly recommend it is really hard to talk the day of (in fact I couldn't) and the day after. You don't want to push yourself too hard or face guests during those days because the amount of swelling can look a bit silly but you can theoretically if all goes well go back to routine activities the next day so if you had administrative work you could do for several days without lifting/bending over/facing guests I think it would go great but it's important to give your body rest and time to heal with the amount of swelling that goes on. Pain is different for everyone but my doctor used a local anesthesia there was minimal burning initially and then I felt nothing the whole procedure was comfortable and painless. Now the healing can be very bruised/swollen but if you really baby your after care steps as they recommend and educate you on it's also very minimal just uncomfortable if that makes sense.:)

Day 2
A lot of the coloration in my lips has returned back to normal. Eating, talking, and drinking are really big hurdles for the day but excited for the swelling to go down.
