Large Anatomical Chin Implant

Hello! It's been a long time! I'm happy to update that I am still incredibly happy with my chin implant! It's one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. I love my side profile!
Regarding the partially numb sensation I was feeling, I still kind of have that. If I feel around on my implant, I have hypersensitivity very minimally. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't affect me in any way, and it really doesn't bother me at all. The implant remains feeling very secure and in place, no issues there.
Everything leading up to now, the cost, the surgery, the recovery, the temporary numbness, the temporary tingling has all been SO worth it. I've added a photo below of my scar, it's almost non-existent.
Many have asked, my surgeon was Dr. Minas Constantinides at Westlake Dermatology in Austin. If you've been considering doing it, DO IT!

6 Months Post Op
6 months since my surgery and I'm still feeling great! I do have to say though, no chin is perfect and I see a lot of posts about how some implants aren't exactly symmetrical or there are little imperfections here and there. I have them too, but that should be expected. Our normal chins weren't perfect either, so after implant, they still won't be perfect, just improved!! I say this because I do notice some imperfections on myself too, but it has nothing to do with the implant and it doesn't mean the implant is crooked. So here's my update, I still have a little numbness in the bottom lower lip on the right side. I also have more sensation on that side when I touch the implant. My surgeon says I have a nerve there that didn't like being stretched and it will take longer for that to feel completely normal again. It doesn't bother me, it doesn't hurt, it's just a different sensation. I feel like my implant has stayed in place and looks great, I occasionally feel around to be sure. Aside from the extra sensation I feel on the right side, my chin feels completely normal and like my own chin. The incision site has healed very nicely, it's flat and has faded to my normal skin tone. I am still very happy with my decision to do the procedure, no regrets except that I wish I had done some chin lipo. Another time maybe :)

Thank you for all of the updates on your procedure. I have a chin implant with neck lip scheduled next month. Was your implant secured with screws or sutures??
My implant was supposed to be secured with screws but my chin bone was too hard, so my surgeon secured with sutures instead. Goodluck with your procedure!

Looks great! It really gives you a nice jawline! I wish my surgeon did before and after pics like that. I never even got after pics!
Ah bummer. I'm surprised they don't do that, how strange. Did they take before pics? Maybe you should ask about that.
