A little update
WORTH IT$6,500
All is well and I have been back to my normal routine including heavy weight training. There are minor discomfort from nerve regeneration from time to time, but I have no complaints other than that. Dr. Reid and his staff are always professional and attentive to details to make each of my office visit enjoyable. I'm more than happy with my results and I highly recommend Restora Austin and Dr. Reid!

Recovery
I must say, my recovery has been so easy and breezy. I stayed on a schedule with my pain meds for the first 2 days and I didn't need the prescribed pain med on my day 4 postop.
Mild constipation (which was expected with anesthesia and narcotics) but that went away by the 3rd day.
I had NO pain during my recovery but soreness which I didn't mind. If you lift or do yoga, muscle soreness is the story of your life anyway.
I think getting Exparel injection and staying on top of my meds for the initial recovery phase helped me a lot.
I was back to school on postop day 10 and back to work (I'm a nurse) on postop day 14.
I cannot be happier with the result and my experience with Restora so far! :)

Hi! Your reviews are incredibly helpful. Do you mind me asking about how long he recommended you abstain from weight lifting and yoga? I'm a yoga teacher myself and am considering breast augmentation... Wondering how long I will have to be sedentary.

I'm very active in advanced yoga and my PS said no yoga 8 weeks. I'm released this Thursday (2 weeks post op) to do lower body weight machines and very low impact cardio (Elliptical, stair master, etc.) I'd like to know what Annaeffects' doctor said, too...

Also, not sure if Mayurasana / Peacock pose will ever be attainable for me again, lol!

6 weeks for any upper body lifting. I'm allowed to workout starting this Thursday (3 weeks postop mark) but no lifting. I can do lower body training still on diffdifferent machines but he recommends smooth motions such as elliptical that won't stress the upper body.
I was walking in the backyard and up and moving a lot and light stretches the first day after the surgery. If you're an active person then you shouldn't have to be too sedentary.
Every body is different and everyone reacts to anesthesia, meds, and everything really differently but I kept myself moving.

You should be able to be back to your normal routine including the poses by 8 weeks but I think it's best to consult your board certified surgeon rather than how you feel.
Although I feel like I'm good to be back to my normal workout routine but I'm not going to do that because I know the surgeon has a reason why he/she tells you what to do and what not to do. I feel it's best to stick with what's recommended by your own surgeon. :)

Thanks for the helpful feedback! It's good to know that you can start to incorporate lower body exercises 3 weeks post op. Makes me feel so much better about the recovery process!

I was always frustrated about how my upper body...
I was always frustrated about how my upper body looked and always wanted bigger chest. I met with 4 different plastic surgeons who are well known in the area for their work before I decided to go with Dr. Reid.
I chose Dr. Reid because of his knowledge and how much he pays attention to me. I felt connected and comfortable with him and I was 100% positive that he understood my needs and wants.
I've never had any sort of surgery or surgical procedure so my anxiety level was pretty high on my surgery day. Dr. Reid came to talk to me to go over our plan again and made sure we both were going for the same goal. He also made sure to make me feel at ease and for some reason I felt so relaxed walking to my operating room. 430cc on my left breast and 480cc on my right breast (originally smaller than left breast) were used.
It has been 3 days since my surgery and I feel GREAT! No pain, no nausea, I showered myself (yes, washed my hair and conditioned it too) twice since the surgery and I can't be happier about the result!
His staff members go above and beyond to meet each patient/client's needs and wants all the time and I can't find any reason why anyone would not choose Dr. Reid and Restora.

I had and have (and I don't think I'll ever have) pain. I could shower the next day and everyday after that without my husband's help. I mean including washing AND conditioning my hair.
I had no problems using the bathroom right after the surgery. I can drive and help with light house chores.
My brests are getting softer everyday and I'm going to my first postop appt on Friday.
Dr. Reid offers Exparel injection (not a pain pump) that goes into your pectoral muscles during the surgery to control pain upto 72hrs postop.
I'm 5'6 and 132lbs. I do weight lifting at least 3-5 times a week.
If you haven't done a consultation with Dr. Reid I highly recommend doing so. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
