One week post op update

I had my one week post op appointment today. I am healing well and progressing nicely. At the appointment they removed the steri strips and showed me massages to do twice a day. Swelling is gone although there is still a little bit of pain. I'm trying to not take any pain meds but I found taking a muscle relaxer at night helps me sleep and with morning pain. I have a few pics and I really think my progress has been amazing in just one week.
Overall I would say that my experience has been amazing with Restora Austin and Dr. Gordon. I definitely recommend her if you are in Austin or even close to Austin!

Day 2 after surgery

Had my surgery on Thursday afternoon. I would say that Friday was the worst day so far in the process. I am keeping ice packs on for swelling but have tried my best to stop the hydrocodone. I ended up with Inspira high profile 365/385. The size difference sounds more than it actually is from what the nurse told me. All of my friends that have had this procedure say it gets better in a few days. I really hope so. I go back in 5 days for a post-op check up. I'm hoping I get good news that I'm healing nicely. The picture looks a little crazy but I hope it looks better really soon!

Surgery complete

Well I had my surgery yesterday afternoon. I'm so excited that it's finally over and can't wait to see how I progress over time.
The process was very simple, went in at 1pm where I got changed then the nurse took my vitals. I then met with the anesthesiologist and my PS. It is just how other ladies described, meaning you go back to the room and wake up in what seems like minutes!
I was given water, a graham cracker and my first pain med. my husband helped me get dressed then we were on our way home!
I've slept on and off and been diligent about taking my meds. I have not had a lot of pain, but I did pay extra for Exparel which is a type of pain med they inject during surgery. My chest is pretty tight and swollen so the muscle relaxers are my best friend right now. More updates to come!
