After Almost A Year No Real Results

After almost one year of having Ultherapy I see no real results. I feel it is not worth the money or the pain you go through.

I am turning 54 at the end of the year and was feeling like my skin had lost a lot of firmness elasticity. I also was started noticing that "jowels" look around the jaw line. I think I was really not feeling good about my skin and myself, because I jumped at the chance to do Ultherapy without really taking into consideration the cost and what the real results might be. I probably should have done more research and talked to more than one person about doing the procedure. One thing I do know, the pain was down played considerably. IT HURTS!!! I have a very high threshold for pain, but there were times I wanted to cry and bolt from the table. I had my neck and face done. I was told it would take about 2 hours, but it was all of 3 hours. I have some swelling around my jawline and only had a small bruise right under my chin and one above my right eye, but my jaw, neck and lower part of my cheeks are really tender. At times, there is a burning sensation along my neck and it feels warm to the touch. I don't know if that's normal. Also, I've got two what I call "fever blisters" on either side of my chin. I am prone to fever blisters and cold sores and they ask this on the questionnaire, however, I wasn't told to take any precautions, such as Valtrax. I've had Thermage done in the past and that was one thing they gave me to take a few days prior to the procedure to make sure I didn't have any outbreaks. I find it odd that Ultherapy hurts much more than Thermage, but I was given a Xanax before Thermage and only given Motrin before the Ultherapy. I was told that someone from the office would call me in a day or two to follow up and see how I was doing, however, no one has bothered to call me. It's only been 5 days, but I hope I'm not regretting my decision. I didn't take any "before" pictures, so don't have anything to compare to yet. I think my biggest mistake was not having this procedure done at a Plastic Surgery center instead of a Laser Treatment center.
