Can’t believe this is really happening

I’m just hit my two week mark and I must say that so far the experience is worth it! I feel good although I’m really sore today due to a multiple trip outing (grocery and multiple Home Depot’s). So, I didn’t sleep well last night. Been off the prescription pain meds since day 4 and take Motrin or Tylenol to relieve pain/discomfort when necessary. I will rest today and sit in my recliner and read a book. :)

I am sooo happy because I’m in love with my boobs (400 cc Mentor Memory-gel Moderate Plus Profile). They are the perfect size for my frame. Although I still have stretch marks (surgeon had already told me this pre surgery) I have a nice flat tummy! I still have some swelling and cat wait to see my final results. :)

I haven’t posted because I’ve been really sore and tired but surgery was Monday and al went well. Post op appointment on Tuesday was good. Finally got to take a shower yesterday on Thanksgiving and it was heaven. Had my first BM today so I’m feeling so very blessed. I will upload some pics after my next shower tomorrow. I was kind of woozy yesterday and just wanted to get back in bed.
I feel so messed, grateful, fortunate and thankful for this opportunity! No regrets here!!!
It was soooooo worth it!!!!!!

Woke up this morning feeling blessed, refreshed and happy! Thinking about how blessed I am to be in a position to have this surgery. I’ve shared my journey with a few women close to me and never realized how many of them have wanted to do something similar but never expressed it out loud. It makes me realize what a negative stigma this the if surgery can have. For all of those who are thinking about doing this just remember there will be those who don’t agree with your choice and it may hurt because those people may be close to you. But, remember it is YOUR choice and you have to do what makes you happy. At the end of the day, those who truly love you will get past what THEY think and support you for what YOU want!
