Hi,
I am a 34 year old mummy to 3 boys. 4 year old twins and a 5 year old.
I am hapilly married to my high school sweetheart for nearly 7 years.
Having my pregnancies so close together plus the additional weight and strain of carrying twins has taken a huge toll on my tummy and breasts.
Although i am not happy with the way i look both dressed and undressed my main reason for surgery is for health reasons. I have suffered for a long time with lower back pain, neck pain, painful bra strap grooves and bad posture.
I have been to physiotherapy for years and have tried many different therapies but nothing has worked.
In two days time I will be having a full tt with muscle repair and a breast reduction from a 34k to hopefully a d/dd.
I am excited yet extremely nervous and scared!!!!!!!!
At times I am happy I am doing something for me and something that will greatly improve my health ( added bonus of looking better) other times I feel so selfish to be spending so much money on myself.
I am 5'2 and weigh 181lbs (12'13) over the past year I have lost just over two stones.

I have been on RS everyday reading all of the reviews and they have been a huge blessing.
It's taken weeks for me to post something but with the encouragement of my hubby I have taken the plunge.
Next step will be posting some before pictures......
Hopefully my review will be helpful to somebody else : )

Thank you ladies for all of your supportive messages!
Sorry it has taken me so long to update but I just couldn't be motivated mentally to do it if I am honest I just wanted to do absolutely nothing following my return home after surgery.
Here goes-:
Day of surgery - 1 day post op
I arrived at the hospital at 7.30am and was taken down to theatre at 9.30. Before surgery I had my blood pressure and temperature checked. I was then measured for some stockings and met the doctor who would be doing my anaesthetic. He was lovely and I felt a bit better after meeting him. Finally I was measured by my surgeon and had a few before pictures taken.
Surgery took 4 hours and I was back in recovery at 1.30pm.
The first thing I remember was being sick twice and being told by a nurse that it had taken a while for anyone to be able to wake me up. I woke up at 6.30pm!!!
I drifted in and out of sleep for the rest of saturday and the same the following day. Everytime I woke it wasn't for more than 10-15 mins but I felt fine and was aware of the nurses checking on me.

Day 2 post op
I was alot more awake and was able to get up and use the toilet, wash at the sink and sit out of bed in the chair for a little while.
I didn't have any pain as I had a pain pump with morphine but moving or doing anything on my own was just impossible. The nurses were fantastic and helped me so much.
Later on that evening I had more checks including making sure my dressings were ok and I was discharged.
The ride home was fine but I did struggle to get upstairs once home.
That evening I just took paracetamol before bed and managed fine.
I slept in bed propped up with pillows but it was an uncomfortable night.
My boys slept out that night as we weren't sure how the first night was going to go.

Day 3- Day 5
My boys were back home on day 3!!
My next few days consisted of sitting propoed up on the sofa all day and sleeping propped up in bed at night time. Sleeping has got better and by the morning of day 4 I was off all meds.
I started my period on day 3 which wasn't due for a few weeks so it was inconvenient to say the least when you can't do much for yourself and can't shower!
I had a BM on day 4 and it was fine. I was given lactolouse to use on day 4 If I hadn't been but didn't need to.
My appetite is coming back slowly from day 5.
My boys have been fab and so has my husband with taking responsibility over everything and seems to be coping so far but next week will be hard as he had to go back to work.

Day 6
Today I finally was able to get out of the house as I had a nurses appointment to change my dressings. I had a little peak for the first time and am happy with everything although my boobs look smaller than I expected. The nurse said everything is healing great.
She advised me to try and straighten up a little everyday as I am still pretty hunched over.

Day 7
I am able to get on and off the sofa on my own. I can get out of bed on my own but I can't get into bed yet.

Day 8
Feeling a lot more like me today. I can go up and down stairs slowly on my own and am nearly standing straight. Although I do naturally tend to pull back down to a hunched position if I walk to far. I am moving at a faster pace too : )
I forgot to mention that I had my boob drains out on day 1 and my TT drains out on day 2. It was ok felt a little weird but not really painful just one tube hurt as the last of it was pulled out but lasted two seconds.
The children slept at my sisters last night so that my hubby could get on top of the chores in preparation for next week.
Lets see what next week brings, a day feels like a year ha ha.
I have my mother in law helping my husband with the school and nursery run next week. Hopefully I can drive and walk a little way by the following week so I can take that back over.
My twins only do 1-4 at nursery the days I don't work so it means leaving the house several times a day for all the drop offs and pickups.
I will post pics soon!!

I do think I have a highish pain threshold though I had my twins naturally 20 mins apart and didn't think it was too painful.
