Healing as planned
Hi ladies! I just had another post-op appointment and everything is looking amazing. The doctor checked me out and took after pictures which completely blew my mind when compared with before pictures. I am using Mepitac silicone tape on my scar and it is completely flat and much lighter than before. I was advised by the doctor that after three months to stop using the silicone tape because it won't make much of a difference after that. All in all I am beyond pleased with the results! I can't believe how good I look. My confidence is through the roof and beyond!! None stop shopping and I am fitting into shirts that are an XS. My high waisted pants and cropped shirts have finally made their debut!
Seeing Results and I'm Loving It!
Hi ladies! I am loving the results even though I'm not fully healed yet. I have a baby 6-pack coming in and my sides are toned as if there was no tomorrow! My curves have definitely made their debut. My goal was to go for my 19 yr old body but this!!! It's much better than the body I had at 19! I'm loving it!
I have resumed the majority of my day to day activities minus the heavy lifting. I have seen a huge reduction in the amount of swelling I've had, especially towards the end of the night. I have been wearing my compression garment at night but keeping the girdle on during the day. In the morning time I take it off just to see how long I can go without it but I notice that the back pain starts to set in after about 1hr and then I'll start to slouch. My next appointment is Jan. 9 and I will definitely bring that up.

Swelling, garments and feelings
The pain has subsided and I can finally feel my stomach again. Im starting to notice that type of compression garment really controls the amount of swelling that I have. I purchased a girdle size S from Walmart and the compression garment with the underwear attached. Sadly to say, the compression garment from the hospital has done the most in terms of back support and minimizing swelling.
While the garments from Walmart do an excellent job at "shaping" me, they get a thumbs down in terms of swell control.
One word of advice: be nice to yourself and take it easy. The hormonal spikes and lows will come and go so expect it! I questioned my decision on this the past couple of days but looking back on old photos reminded me that I did this for me and not for vain purposes, people or attention.
I have always struggled with my weight Due to my extremely high metabolism. I am barely 5'2 and I weighed in on the scale at 106.6 this morning. The day of the surgery I was 112. But for some odd reason, when looking in the mirror I don't look "too skinny". I believe it's because the majority of my weight was being situated in my stomach around my abdomen because it was so stretched out. I am eating many small meals a day but today I will add in some homemade high calorie protein shakes to try and get me back up to 112.
