I scheduled a consult for a BL/BA. By time I got there I had been on REALSELF too much.
My dream / ideal surgery morphed into a mini arm lift and using that same axillary incision for the augmentation, possibly forgoing the vertical lift and just doing a donut lift.
I knew my desires were lofty but ended with my buble busted. I would need a full arm lift and a real breast lift. Given no idea of the size or shape of the implant to be used, only assuring me that he would try several during sx to see which looked best and that he may be able to safely get me to DD. (I am 5'10", broad shouldered, small D now.)
During this consult I inguired about a medial thigh lift. The doctor was honest with me saying I would get more bang for my buck with a tummy tuck and that would even give some lift to the thighs and mons. He explained that all the scars I hated to add to already existing scars would look better than me not having sx.
Honestly, I left there heartbroken and started crying on the way home. Disappointed with no vision of what my boobs would like, (his much advertised Vectra imaging was not used), that it appears plastic surgery has not advanced an arm lift to be on par with a face lift and with revived focus on my fat, flabby, scarred belly.
I had scheduled two consults, but was prepared to make a down payment and set a date if satisfied with having surgery that day and cancel the second opinion. That night I was so discouraged I threw his offer away and cancelled my other consult the next day.
Time has heeled, and I REALLY want big pretty breast and even an abdominoplasty. After I resurrect my husband's blessing to have surgery, I will go for 38E, maybe G, and faith that my abdomen will look better even with the additional railroad tracks.

Support from husband

I have been married to a wonderful man for nearly 30 years, and currently he is the only family income. He is caring, giving and kind, but slow to change and even slower to debt.
Two years ago, I stopped working to home school our daughter. It cut our income greatly, but it was of God and He has carried us through. Our daughter is beginning her apprenticeship in cosmetology, so I will be returning to work shortly. I would like to have a breast lift with augmentation, tummy tuck and mini arm lift before returning to work. As a registered nurse and in very good standing with my former employer, I know I will be able to get a job and pay off a loan for the procedures. However once I am working, I will not have time to allow surgery or recovery.
Am I wrong or being selfish? I have researched and found that I can have a mommy makeover for 30% less the price I was given by a local doctor if I go to Miami.
Going to Miami doesn't make good sense to him either because of follow up concerns. Dr. J. Freiman at CG Cosmetics does beautiful work their.

September 1 is surgery day.
I received pre-op orders this afternoon. Oddly, it included a pregnancy test. Somewhere communication or thought process omited that i am post-menopausal and had my tubes cut and burned. Labs will be drawn first thing in the morning. EKG will be done Friday. My primary care doctor just called wanting to know who will be doing the surgery. Perhaps having called for the clearance before having the order made the question necessary. Now I am trying find an affordable xray that can be done tomorrow.

I had a complete abdominal hysterectomy and I had to take two pregnancy tests... :)
Thanks for sharing your story with us. If you're going back to the drawing board on researching surgeons, this list of 30 questions for prospective MM doctors might be helpful.
I will definitely use this information with a doctor that respects patients.
Yikes! Well, let us know how we can support you.
