It seems to be better on some days than others. Really hope it eventually stays good on all days so I don't need to have any more taken off. Will have to ask the doc at my appt tomorrow. I started massaging from the inside corners and pressing out five times each eye, twice a day, and then pressing on the outer corners in a rotating motion.

Day 12
theminesweeperMay 17, 2016
OK woke up this morning and eyes are looking ok again. I've been trying to find something that says how long it takes for eyes to heal completely after upper eyelid surgery but can't seen to find anything for just upper eyelid surgery. It's weird that it's going from looking great, to looking like nothing was done, to being just ok. Guess I'll ask the doc on Thursday and hope he says it'll look great all the time but only after a certain amount of time.

Hi there! I had upper blepharoplasty on 5/5 as well. The surgery was a breeze, but the recovery has been emotionally exhausting, for sure. I am happy with my results, but I do notice that my eyes look a little different everyday. I "tested" out my eyes a few days ago going back to work, and no one noticed that I had anything done, which is a relief. I have been trying to quit looking in the mirror every hour, nervously checking out my eyes (silly, I know). I have heard that it takes many months to see the final result, so we have to roll with it. I think you made a very good decision to have the doctor keep your ethnic eyes. Your eyes look beautiful, and you still look like "you". I think the scariest part of the surgery was the worry that I would look different. Luckily, we still look like ourselves, hopefully with better looking eyes:). Hang in there and keep us posted.

Thanks, a.macd! I'm glad to hear it takes a few months. I just realized I need to post a photo update. I'll have to do that tonight!

Eyes seem to be back to being heavy hooded
theminesweeperMay 17, 2016
I'm kinda bummed. It's been a week and a half and my eyes are back to looking heavily hooded. This whole plastic surgery thing, between my chin and my eyes, has just been emotionally exhausting. And then frustrating that something so shallow is emotionally exhausting to me. Serenity now! Guess I'll see what the doc says on Thursday. Even my husband says it looks like I didn't have anything done. That bummed me out.
