I am now 3 weeks post op from a sliding genioplasty (NINE MILLIMETERS!) and neck lipo...I chose Dr. Nunn because he's a DDS, oral surgeon, AND a plastic surgeon. Also, upon meeting him, he informed me that he did this procedure on his WIFE years ago.... If his wife trusted him with the genioplasty, who was I to doubt his ability?? (I was seriously considering a chin implant but two different doctors recommended a sliding genioplasty because of just HOW FAR my chin needed to be moved forward...I was really scared to go with the genioplasty but now I'm so glad I did!) Dr. Nunn did NOT disappoint. From the day I got the bandages off (one week post op), I was thrilled! The swelling has since been diminishing and I'm in love with my new look! This was my first cosmetic procedure ever and I was VERY nervous cause it's my FACE. I can sometimes be extremely critical about the results, but I think it's normal for a first-timer. Cause then an hour later I look in the mirror and I LOVE it! One thing I will say is that I was given the impression that one week post op I would be ready to go to work... Well, I should've known because I bruise VERY easily and when the bandages came off there were bruises I didn't even know existed! Luckily, my employer allowed me a lot of leeway with telework, but after about 2 weeks I just gave up and went to Ulta for some heavy duty concealer and started going back to work. So far NO ONE had noticed or made any comments about it (which is exactly the reaction I hoped for). A weak chin isn't something that most people notice except for the person that has it, but I can honestly say my self esteem has improved since having the procedure. The only people that really noticed are people that I told ahead of time what I was having done (I haven't seen my family yet and I'm looking forward to seeing if they even notice). But I was in a group of people recently who have known me for 5 years and I told them I had had a cosmetic procedure (to explain the bruising) & afterward everyone came up to me asking what I had had done because they couldn't tell, even AFTER telling them I'd head surgery on my face! Anyway, I hope y'all can tell I'm SO HAPPY with the results. I would recommend Dr. Nunn to ANYONE! Also, they didn't charge me extra for the neck lipo, which was great! This was the best money I've spent in a long time- I wish I had done it sooner!
