6 months post-op!
I'm so pleased with my results. They look natural and I feel great.
Okay ladies here's my story. I'm 51 yrs young!...
Okay ladies here's my story. I'm 51 yrs young! Married with 2 children, ages 19, 24. I did not breast feed. I weigh 133 and I'm 5'3". I have an athletic build although most of my adult life I haven't been too athletic :-) never really had breast other than when I was pregnant. Thought about BA for years but just too busy with the family, working and life in general. Now it's my turn.
I live in Atlanta so there is no shortage of good Plastic Surgeons BUT I wanted a great one. I did a lot of research online and met with a few before selecting Dr. John Connors.
I had a month of preparations prior to surgery. Began working out again, eating super healthy and following all of Dr. Connors pre-op instructions. Ok, now what size, that was a journey in and of itself. I probably looked at 100s of before and after photos online. That will get you nowhere, too many different body types, etc. Thankfully, Dr. Connors office is equipped with this really cool 3D imaging machine called a Vectra. I was able to see MY body with differrent size implants and that really helped. I was torn between 375 and 400. I decided on 375cc silicon moderate plus. By the way, My PS used breast crease incision.
My surgery was February 22, 2013. I was really nervous that morning but the Doc was so reassuring and calming that I got over that quickly. Surgery was 1.5 hours long. I woke up feeling great. I drank some juice got my wits about me and then my husband and I headed home. My throat hurt a little from the breathing tube but only lasted a day. I was NOT in any pain, I was amazed! I had some discomfort, heavy feeling on my chest and it was hard getting around without using your arms. I'm a back sleeper and I was still not sleeping well but that only lasted a week. Took my pain pills for 4 days and finished my antibiotics. The hardest thing for me was not to over do it. I wasn't in any pain so I think that made it easier for me to disobey doctors orders. Dr. C got after me at my 1week post-op, he could tell that I wasn't taking it easy. Please listen to your Dr. do not over exert yourself. I'm behaving myself now and will continue to do so.
A little FYI, take MOM, you'll need it. Those first couple of days are hard. You are bloated and once the constipation is gone you will feel so much better. Also, please know that you will retain fluid for about a week. I was up 6 lbs immediately following my surgery but by the end of week 1 it was gone.
I just had my 2 week post-op visit. Everything is great. I was cleared to return to the gym - yippy! Okay, I can't jog yet but it's a start. Prior to surgery I was jogging 3 miles a day and on my way to a new goal weight and harder body. I'm so happy with my results, my breast are beautiful! I have curves now and I love looking in the mirror. I'm trying to be patient and not be too consumed with the fact the they are riding high. I've started my massages which will help soften them up and help them fall. I'm going to try and upload a couple of photos. Happy healing to everyone out there!

Provider Review
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
755 Mount Vernon Hwy. NE , Atlanta, Georgia
I did my research online. Dr. Connors has impeccable credentials, double board certified and excellent patient reviews. When I met with Dr. Connors and I knew immediately that he was going to be my surgeon. He and his staff spent a lot of time with me and all of my concerns and questions were answered. My pre-op/post-op experience was great. I attribute my pain free recovery and my awesome results to Dr. Connors excellent surgical skills and his attention to every detail.
