I meant to do a journal on myself until before the surgery but after going to several of different comastic surgeon either they turned me down or they wanted an arm and a leg. I went in july 15 for a tummy tuck and liposuction and hernia repair which was enlarged. So far I'm in on again off again pain. Plus I decided to stay in the hospital and extra day which I needed. I'll post before pic.

Hey girl welcome to the community.  How are you feeling today?   Are you home now?

July 18, 2016
Yes I'm home but in on again and off again pain. I haven't been able to sleep, tossing and turning even in the reclining chairs. I want to post more every day but I'm not going to lie the pain is unbearable, I wasn't ready lol.

I know this is going to be rough for a couple of weeks.  You can do it, stay focused on the end result.  Are you taking pain medications as prescribed?   Make sure to stay on top of the dose.  No one position will be comfortable right now.  The key is to keep moving and changing positions.  Do what ever makes you feel most comfortable at the moment.  Using lots of pillows, stretching, massage etc.  It will settle down soon.

Yes I'm taking the pain medication and antibiotics but I'm still having pain In lower and upper back and very Little in my abdomen area. I have been moving as much as I can but not over doing it. Pillows, ugh are not my friend and I love pillows but it's been a challenge. I hope it gets better this is only day 4

Yes it will all get better, it takes time.  By about 10-14 days post you will feel like a new woman.

Day 4

Luckylady7
I'm not going to lie I'm still in pain, I haven't been able to sleep, I'm on muscle spasm meds which is not working, antibiotics every other day and oxcoydone which us definitely not working. I have called the doctor already just waiting on a response. I took my 1st shower today which wasn't as bad as i thought I would be. I'm eating and drinking well, I just wish the aching and pain would go away

Hey my love, I am 11 days post-op today. Dont worry, I was where you were a few days ago, and I can tell you it gets so much better much faster than you would think. My Doctor gave me Percocet as my pain killer which has worked great. Drink water, walk as often as possible, but do not overdo it. The pain will deminish before you know it. Good luck!

Good morning and thank you but I had to let the pain Killer go, unfortunately they were not working even the Percocet or Tramadol now this pain in my back and sides are about to kill me ugh I was not warned about how this recovery. But hopefully everything will get better, thanks again

Day 8

Sorry I couldn't post everyday transition but everyday I guess I get better especially reading other blogs. I'm still in some discomfort especially with sleeping, I can't stand straight I can't stand for a very long time. I have a townhouse so I'll go up or Down stairs at least twice a day. Because I'm a single parent I wanted to take my daughter's shopping for school but after reading some of the blogs I'll wait, it's only been 1 week as of today, sorry I'm not that brave in fact I don't do well with pain, I knew this would be painful but dang this is long it get stressful all day every day. My best friend got a tummy tuck 3 months ago and she said her doctor said it was ok to sleep on her stomach to ease some discomfort, but my doctor said not now. My drainage bagso were only in for 5 days thank God that was in my way, lol thanks again everyone I need the encouragement the struggle has been real on this end especially with my 10 month old.

I'm in atlanta and Dr. MARK DEUTSCH did mine, it was 6,000 plus 2,000 for the hospital usage but you know they have payment plans and other ways to pay for the surgery

You are doing great!!! My drains were on for 13 days. It was horrible. Take it easy going up and down stairs. I avoid as much as possible. I'm still not standing completely straight and I'm 16 days today.
July 23, 2016
I try but I'm working with a teenager that can't sometimes get it right but she tries, lol did they say why so many days the drain have to stay in?
