The results are so beautiful, and the whole experience went way beyond what I was expecting. I’m 7 weeks post, and most of the swelling is gone and couldn’t be happier with the scar (already flat, thin and straight.
I consulted with Dr Z because he does a drainless TT (he said he hasn’t used drains in 10 years). I can’t imagine going recovery drains!
My recovery has honestly been a dream. The day of the procedure went very smoothly. I felt good enough to cook dinner with my family when I got home. The second night was the only bad experience. I had a sore throat, acid reflux, and this weird feeling when I swallowed, like something was stuck in my throat. But I drank about gallon of water and sucked on TUMS and it went away.
I didn’t really have any TT pain, By no means bedridden. The first week I had some discomfort sitting up/ lying down, sort of like my C-section. I was also little hunched over, but I was able to do most of my normal activities. even driving. I just couldn’t lift anything. not even my purse/shoulder bag.
By end of week 1, I felt good enough to start walking 1-2 hours a day. End of week 2, I got stitches out, I felt almost like I could do anything. I went to the gym and used the stairmaster —which is just an awesome workout— and did walking with short bursts of jogging. By end of week 4, I was back to easy running. The recovery has been relatively smooth. I definitely wasn’t sidelined like I thought I would be.
I just could not have asked for better results or smoother recovery than I had with Dr Zubowicz and Emory Aesthetic Center.

Omg!! My TT has made such an improvement. Previous nonsurgical procedures I tried did not even come close. I so wish I had talked to Dr Zubowicz before I wasted $$ on those other things — coolsculpting and Thermitight.

Wow great results and your recovery sounds a dream! Did you have any muscle repair?
November 5, 2017
Yes. Muscle and hernia repair. I was on the fence about doing it bc afraid pain would be bad. But it wasn’t. I really didn’t have any pain, just some discomfort and soreness. I’m so glad I went with the full TT with muscles and hernia repair.

Wow that's amazing recovery then
I'm booked in now Thursday - 4 days. For the full tummy tuck and muscle repair. Iv shut off thinking about the recovery and now this weekend I'm starting to panic as it's soo drastically different for everyone.
I'm going to take it one day as a time and relax what ever happens. But reading your review has definatley put a snails on my face this evening :) x

Any tips what I need to pack in my hospital bag. Iv got the essentials like nighties, toiletries and bits. But anything you thought of that helped at all.
I'm staying in for 2 nights - what sort of thing is best to travel home in? Thank you

My procedure was outpatient, so I'm not sure what to recommend for a hospital stay. Definitely wear home something loose and comfortable that's easy to put on. I wore sweat pants, fleece jacket, and slip-on loafers for the ride home. Hope it all goes well
