Underwent a TT at age 50, Eighteen years after having my 2 ten pound children. One C-section and one V-bac. My stomach needed a make over. After years of hating my stomach from over stretch of birth of my children searched for a doctor to repair my hernia and muscle by a tummy tuck.
After researching several doctors, liked the credentials and plan to fix me up by Dr. Connors. Office was clean and staff was nice. Once I decided to move forward with Dr. Connors, everyone in office was helpful to assure me I had made a great choice. The one thing that was a bit tacky in such a nice office is how the girl wanted me to pay my $$$$ bill at counter without having gone over any of the paperwork or procedure. This is surgery bill not a co-payment. Once I mentioned this they took me back to review paperwork and then I finished paying my balance. I thought I would have gotten a more compression garment after drain tube removed but I was on my own to find one. I think if I had one of the more post surgical TT garments it would of helped my stomach from going back to its old state so quickly. When you are examined they give you a robe and the disposable panties. There are hangers to hang your clothes up in room which is good because at one doctor's office I visited for a consultation had me stuff my clothes in a basket. The day of surgery was a breeze since surgical center on site. First day after surgery, pain not bad and took medication as prescribed. Second day was rough sleeping, and by 3rd & 4th day was miserable with bloat/gas. When I finally heard back from nurse next day, I was told to get gas-x. Stomach belly button looked great and healed good as well as scar. Did get upper protruding bulge that formed about the 4-6 week out from surgery. Over the months it continued to bulge. Hope to finally see if the doctor can resolve the problem. Overall it was a good experience with the doctor and staff. Somewhat disappointed with the results or not being fully communicated that my stomach would not stay flat past 6 weeks or that I have excess fat that I would have loved to have address before hand if this was going to effect the look of my tummy tuck.

Post TT still with bulge

Sorry do not have more pictures at this time, but this is an idea that the stomach really did not change much after the TT. It still has a protrusion that has continued to stick out like I did not even have a TT.

Hi, I am not a dr by any means, however, there is significant change between the pre and post op pic. It looks like you may of had a hernia that was removed which flattened out the stomach. It looks like excess skin was removed as well. Your back looks smoother too. I think some people on here can have these high expectations of what they want to look like and sometimes, it takes more than one surgery/procedure to get there. It does look like you can used liposuction of the upper abdomen and that cannot be down with a tt because of the possibility of skin nercosis. It isn't best to do it before a tt after; as it will leave even more dropping skin. Are you wearing any garments or waist trainers? How is your diet? So many factors that are involved and rarely considered. Best of luck to you.
