WORTH IT$9,200
I got a massage today and it was amazing!!! I am going to go frequently the next month or so. Helped with swelling and tightness; felt so good after so long being uncomfortable. No pain whatsoever. Get a massage girls once you can stand being pushed on. You're welcome :) :)

Thanks for the tip!!! I was wondering when it would be ok to do so. So proud of you! Still hard to believe I will ever get to that point, but it's good to know it happens! Where did you go for the massage? Did you tell them to do anything specific or not touch a certain area?
November 16, 2015
They never actually told me it was ok so I hope it is :) Just massage envy. I told her I was swelling and I may tell her if something hurt me, but nothing did. I told her I wanted to help with swelling and overall relaxation. it was heaven. I am really swollen today though, not sure what that's all about. We had 2 parties this weekend and moving furniture around so I am sure that didn't help. I have a followup with Dr. Connors on Thursday. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but you will get there. Even though its the longest 2 weeks of your life, week 3-4 fly by. :)

Lymphatic massage?
November 16, 2015
So I just went to massage envy because I have a membership as a way to destress. I told her I was looking to reduce swelling and she did a weird arm pit thing that I am assuming is supposed to be lymphatic-ish. It was amazing even though it wasn't lymphatic. To have my back rubbed it and not bother my lipo areas was heaven; AND laying on my stomach no issues was a huge accomplishment. Just one step closer to back to normal.

Yay for you! I have heard lymphatic massages are great after surgeries like this, but when I asked about it at the consult she said we could discuss this more if I felt it was an issue for me when it was time. I think massages are great anytime :)

6 weeks down! I can't believe it.

georgiagirl123
It's been six weeks since my surgery. I love my results. I started back at the gym this week. Went to a Body Works class but skipped everything Ab. My belly button has finally come around. Stopped oozing at 5 weeks and now it's just a small scab. Running hurts my lipo areas. Running on flat ground really hurts my flanks but running up the stairs doesn't. Weird. When I swell, I swell above my belly button and at my hips. Everything is pretty much back to business as usual. I am so happy. This feels like a huge accomplishment to make it through the tough month and a half getting myself back together. Prayer for all of the ladies in the first few days, I don't ever want to go through that again but it's been just like childbirth, over time you forget the pain. Here are some pictures. Happy dance!!

5 weeks PO. Feeling great.

georgiagirl123
I am feeling so good. I've been back doing elliptical at the gym this week and it was awesome. Next week I am cleared to run and ease back in to tennis and can't wait. I ran down the driveway to get something for my son and my lipo areas feel uncomfortable, not my tummy tuck/muscle repair. I am still so happy. My diet was rocking the first 3 weeks and now with an out of town wedding and Halloween, I've been eating worse than I'd like.

Not too much too report. The pain and difficulty is becoming a memory. My belly button is still gross but it's trying so hard. Maybe one more month there. My binder is my best friend. Holds back my swelling and gives me support. I love how much more comfortable I am in my undies. No flap, no muffin, I am so much more comfortable (literally) in my clothes ( ... When I'm not swelling). I bought some super cute clothes today, which was so fun.

I'm so happy for you. We are at the same point in our recovery. I too still wear my binder: I'm back at work and I work on my feet 71/2 hours day. Still have swelling which can get very uncomfortable. My lipo areas still hurt quit a bit too. I was thinking about just wearing spanx today to work and being binder if I need it.
November 4, 2015
I am pretty much in spanx now and my binder is starting to look a little rough from all of the washes but I strap that sucker on at night usually. I am swelling too which is annoying but expected. My lipo areas hurt like a mother when I jog - I didn't expect that!!

You look amazing! your belly is actually curved inwards and looks so good!! So glad to see the progress. How is the scar? Is it "closed"? I don't know what the correct term is. What binder are you using now? Is it the one the doctor gave or a new one you bought? Thanks for the update!
November 2, 2015
Thank you!!! My bottom scar healed so well. No problems at all. Very think line. A little red but I start the scar cream next week so I anticipate it being very minimal. I still wear tape to keep it held firm with no rubbing. But next week I can take that off too. They gave me a binder I wore for 2 weeks and now sometimes in the evenings. I went to khols and purchased the body compressions like hot pants on your thighs then up around your middle and straps over shoulders. I also have the panty kind where the tummy part goes up to your chest. Maiden form and a Nicole something brand. The assets brand wasn't that great.

You look so good! Your belly button is perfect. So glad you can start to exercise more, each step to being back to you old routine must be nice.

Thank you!! I've actually been compression less all day today and it's awesome!!
