Massage today was heaven!!

I got a massage today and it was amazing!!! I am going to go frequently the next month or so. Helped with swelling and tightness; felt so good after so long being uncomfortable. No pain whatsoever. Get a massage girls once you can stand being pushed on. You're welcome :) :)

6 weeks down! I can't believe it.

It's been six weeks since my surgery. I love my results. I started back at the gym this week. Went to a Body Works class but skipped everything Ab. My belly button has finally come around. Stopped oozing at 5 weeks and now it's just a small scab. Running hurts my lipo areas. Running on flat ground really hurts my flanks but running up the stairs doesn't. Weird. When I swell, I swell above my belly button and at my hips. Everything is pretty much back to business as usual. I am so happy. This feels like a huge accomplishment to make it through the tough month and a half getting myself back together. Prayer for all of the ladies in the first few days, I don't ever want to go through that again but it's been just like childbirth, over time you forget the pain. Here are some pictures. Happy dance!!

5 weeks PO. Feeling great.

I am feeling so good. I've been back doing elliptical at the gym this week and it was awesome. Next week I am cleared to run and ease back in to tennis and can't wait. I ran down the driveway to get something for my son and my lipo areas feel uncomfortable, not my tummy tuck/muscle repair. I am still so happy. My diet was rocking the first 3 weeks and now with an out of town wedding and Halloween, I've been eating worse than I'd like.

Not too much too report. The pain and difficulty is becoming a memory. My belly button is still gross but it's trying so hard. Maybe one more month there. My binder is my best friend. Holds back my swelling and gives me support. I love how much more comfortable I am in my undies. No flap, no muffin, I am so much more comfortable (literally) in my clothes ( ... When I'm not swelling). I bought some super cute clothes today, which was so fun.

Dr. Connors and his team are absolutely amazing. I went to Dr. Connors for a consult for my hernia. I also had consults with a few other doctors and he came out on top for me because of what a great, confident doctor he is and that I felt totally safe. He's such a nice person and funny too, which totally lightens up an extremely vulnerable process. From the moment you walk into his office, they are crystal clear with you about expectations; they also walk you through the process step by step. My shape is perfect and feminine, my belly button is cute and my scar is low. I attribute all of this to his exceptional surgical skill. Dr. Connors is a truly talented physician, double-board certified which I found to be a deal-sealer since my hernia was the catalyst behind my decision to get a tummy tuck. Every member of his team is an expert in what they do (his PA Maggie, his nurses and office staff). They are heaven-sent and I am so thankful for their masterful work. Thank you a million times, Dr. Connors!!!!!!
