Smile Direct Club Aligners to Close Gaps

So after starting Tray 10, I noticed one of my top front teeth starting to tilt inwards ! Yikes ! And now that I look at my Week 8 pics, my bottom teeth in the front look worse than when I started. So I've scheduled a new scan tomorrow and we'll see how it goes. I actually think it should be normal to have a mid-treatment correction because it is better to check halfway through than to end up with a mess.

I'm on week 9 and so far I'm good with the results. I realize there will be gaps on the top near my canines but I already had a gap there and it won't show much in my smile. I can tell a difference in my smile about a month ago. When I take pictures, my smile looks pretty good ! I will be glad when I'm done.

There's not much new to report. When I start a new set, there will be soreness for a day or so. The whole process helps me take better care of my mouth.

I am on week 2 of my treatment plan. The first two weeks went well. The aligners did not hurt but I definitely felt pressure. I received my entire plan in one cool purple box. I also received whitening pen, chapstick and chewies (to help the aligners seat on your teeth). I ordered extra chewies and wax but so far haven't used them. I did not receive an emery board. I only gave 3 stars because I'm just starting. When I finish, I'll have a more accurate rating posted.

I read that most people receive their aligners 1-2 months after their scan. I got mine pretty quickly and was pleasantly surprised.

So last night I started my 2nd set and it was definitely much more pressure, almost painful. This morning when I took them out to brush my teeth, I felt like my teeth were going in different directions. It's a weird feeling. I know it will pass and it will all be worth it in the end.

I am also whitening my teeth one hour in the morning. I had a gingivectomy and the hidden part of my teeth ( the top) is more yellow than the bottom. Also, the tooth is thicker up top. I'm 53 so it's just a consequence of doing this later in life. I'm still very glad I did it.

My plan will be 7 months long and then I'll need retainers. SDC is so affordable. I already broke the bank with the gum surgery !
