I am so grateful that I HAD the courage to finally go through with the tummy tuck, had I known years ago that a tummy tuck would get rid of the pouch and the stretch marks I would have done it in my 30's. My body now looks amazing. stretch marks 98% gone! I tried everything before this surgery to get rid of my pouch... was considering liposuction, but after going to a few surgeons and doing tons of research I am so glad I settled on doing a tummy tuck with lipo suction on back and sides and breast augmentation.
The first week was the hardest, day one - you are drugged lol but definitely need help and a walker if you have to walk to far...
day 2 painful and had to take severe or moderate pain medication but nothing to bad... however I did have the pain pump for my abdomen and didn't expect as much pain.. I was even wondering if the pain pump was working or worth the extra cost.. I will never know but I'd do it again... either way, it was hard but bearable with the pain meds
day 3 about the same -
on day 4 i went to see my PS and he checked everything - I had to walk slow with my walker.. but over all was okay... and not in as much pain and I just took my time...
for once, its all about me - lol... as we women know we are always taking care of everything and everyone else so for me... I am milking this 'me' time... as I definitely deserve it!
day 5 and 6 I was like Oh God, why did I do this and wish I could undo it.. however by day 7 I was ok and pain was so much more manageable...
day 10 had to see my PS and he removed my drains - not a big deal.. he was laughing at me because I was holding my breath and closing my eyes and he was like hey... what is all of that.. its going to be ok... the pain level was a 1... lol and it was quick - he is the best
I looked in the mirror and saw how amazing my body looked and wanted to just cry happy tears... and I know its only going to get better! I am so grateful to God for giving man the ability and knowledge.
day 12 and 13 I was just sore and didn't want to move around much but I also understand its a process... and just relaxed and watched movies all day....
I am on week 2 (day 14) and I feel awesome, however I am still walking with slightly bent over --my PS told me to take it slow and listen to my body.. and stand up as straight as I can but not to pull or put to much tension on scar...
definitely not at 100% yet and probably have another few weeks to go or months, however no real pain as of today... just a matter of letting my body heal and taking it slow...
One thing I was not prepared for was the after care that would be needed, its not a lot, but definitely helps to have some one very present to just assist - especially in the little things like, hand me this or that, even if its something as trivial as hand me a pillow or the remote... or please help me to get up so that I don't have to use my stomach muscles (as that is a big no no initially) - we watched a lot of videos on how to help lift someone who just recently had a tummy tuck... that helped us tremendously...
cooking was not an option for me... - even brushing my teeth made my stomach hurt at first lol however I have been blessed with family cooking and or bringing in take out - be sure to prepare for how you will handle your meals ... and clean up...
I would suggest that one expect at the very least to take 3 -4 weeks off from work. With someone around you for at least 100% of the time in the first 24-48 hours then at least 75% for the next few days...
set up a space where you can have access to everything you will need - tv remote, medicine, water, etc., just be prepared to just relax..
a reclining chair is a good option.. we got one for $110 at walmart! Its small but very comfortable
if you have small kids, please be sure some one is around to cook and clean for all of you...
the first day i could barely wipe my own self... started my menstrual and needed help with cleaning myself and changing pads etc., (its noted that starting your menstrual happens to a lot of tummy tuck patients so watch out for that)
everyone is different but I am so grateful to my family for being there and taking such excellent care of me... I have seen so many movies these past few weeks.. just hanging out in my great room.. which has been my bedroom for the past 2 weeks... lol
however one thing that really helped me was having a lot of pillows, my guy went out and purchased me a reclining chair from walmart for $140 we got a $30 discount).. and my airplane neck pillow has been my best friend!!!! make sure you get one, I paid $9.99 for mine at walmart I think.. and its been the best! seriously my godsend must have!!!!
pain pills I did take as needed - and I am not one to do drugs unless absolutely necessary... however they helped considerably in the first 72 hours.. and then after that just took as needed, or extra strength tylenol...
be sure to drink plenty of water... as much as humanly possible... it will help the healing process!
ALSO my breast look amazing.. . he was able to achieve a look of a lift without a lift! Nipple had sensation from day one :)! Just a tad bigger than I'd like but my surgeon assures me they are going to go down... and my breast pain has been very minimal... almost nil... however no matter what I have no complaints as my entire body looks amazing.... my only regret is that I wish I had done it sooner!!!
I hope that sharing my experience can help the next person... AS reading many reviews helped me but there were many things I felt that were left out, my attempt was to cover everything lol
my surgeon Dr. Fara Movagharnia was or is AWESOME! He REALLY cares about his patients and does a lot to make sure you are comfortable and he is very thorough in everything he does... you can tell he doesn't just treat you like part of an assembly cash line .... he sees you personally and does everything with you personally.... and for me that was very important... plus he is chief surgeon and chief of staff at the hospital he uses! and his staff if awesome as well... you just can't go wrong this team!
i will add pictures later I promise... as my transformation is amazing... Dr Fara also fixed my belly button.. I had an outy.. otherwise known as a hernia... and was also able to bill my insurance for that portion which was a plus! and everything looks amazing!

Really sad to say that update is not as favorable as my initial post... surgery was good however aftercare wasnt as I had expected, there was an issue with my insurance and instead of the doctor - communicating with me any issues - instead chose not to continue seeing me for my last few after care visits... Not to mention you were paid in full... so that really wasn't fair to me... i don't like the size of my breast, they are to big... and i am going to have them redone eventually. I was specific that I didn't want larger size breast.. and I feel like they look like [RS bleep] star boobs... they aren't horrible.. but its not what I wanted, i like smaller size boobs.. i just want my boobs not to be so saggy looking, -- and my scar is horrendous.. i knew there would be a scar but I have many associates who have had tummy tuck and their scars are barely noticeable and all different shades... and I have spent a sizeable amount of money on creams and other treatments... the scar is now like a badge of honor for me... but its still really ugly and i shouldn't have had to go to other surgeons for steroid shots and creams etc.,

breast augmentation update
millionaireboundApril 5, 2015
i was a 34 b - small b - received 360 cc - i think my breast are to big now... wish i had gone with 300 or 320 cc - what was i thinking.... Before doing a breast augmentation... make sure you are very clear with your surgeon what you want and look at lots of pictures... i don't think I did enough due diligence until after the surgery.. I thought if i just told my surgeon that i wanted to be a b-cup - that would be good enough... I do love my breast he did an excellent job.. maybe they will still go down some, then they may be perfect I should have done more research on what the cc's mean etc., I didn't know about this site until afterwards..
