MiraDry is a God-send! I'm 4 days removed from my procedure and completely sweat and body odor free! Dr. Kulkin's unique tumescent technique for numbing the underarm for this procedure was in all honesty, slightly uncomfortable during the application (2-3 minutes per armpit) but I can only assume the pain I could have experienced using the more common technique of multiple numbing injections under each arm. This technique however, allowed Charlotte (Dr. Kulkin's wife and a registered nurse) to utilize the miraDry machine at level 5 for the entire procedure with NO pain what so ever! If you are planning on having this procedure or even considering it, I encourage you to find a practice that uses the tumescent numbing technique and if you are in Atlanta please go talk to WIFH and Dr. Kulkin. Please also know that there will be some discomfort (the day of for me), swelling and bruising post procedure but the end result is completely worth the minor and I mean MINOR discomfort realized.
I truly believe this numbing technique accompanied with the level 5 application is the reason for my amazing results and would recommend this to anyone that has tried everything and is searching for relief!

4 Weeks post procedure
BuccinoleDecember 29, 2015
I'm now nearly 4 weeks removed from my procedure and I have nothing but positive things to say. I've had no change in my initial results which is to say I am completely sweat free in my armpits! I've experienced no relapse or regression that I read in some posts prior to my procedure. i'm not discounting those posts, I just have had 100% positive results from my experience. The swelling totally subsided somewhere around the 2-2.5 week mark. I also haven't experienced any of the lumps that others have experienced. Maybe I've just been very lucky but I followed the post procedure instructions as closely as possible and I think the initial icing regimen helped with my swelling and recovery. I'll post some photos soon.

Hello, glad your procedure went well! I am thinking of getting this procedure and was wondering how if you have experienced any relapse since your last post. Thanks in advance for your response!

I had a relapse on my right side which was my worst side of the two. I went back for a second treatment (full strength level 5) that side only about 4 months ago. The result has been that the second treatment was quite successful. I would say that my sweating has been reduced anywhere from 70-85% on the right and almost 99% on the left. Honestly, in my case, I would describe the results as having a "normal" body response to heat and stressful situations with regard to the sweating. I would do it all over again to get the relief I have experienced! I feel as though I've gotten my life back and I can go out with my family in public and enjoy our outings instead of being laser focused on my armpits!

Thanks for the quick response! Fed up of being embrassed about my armpits. Think I will go ahead and schedule a consultation. Wish me luck.

I totally understand where you're coming from it's a mental drain to worry about that 24/7. The only thing I would recommend when you're looking at your procedure is to find someone that does the intumescent anesthesia. This method of anesthesia will allow the dr. To use the machine at full power. This method has one numbing shot under each armpit and then approximately 3 to 4 minutes of discomfort in each armpit as the numbing needle is inserted into each armpit. Although I have never had the other method of numbing your armpits with many many shots I can't imagine that this method is worse. As a matter of fact I would say that this method is although it's a little discomforting you only feel pain for 3 to 4 minutes and that's it.

Got it, thanks! I think I will be using Dr. Kulkin since you did mention he does this method. Did you have to pay up front?
June 14, 2016
I did pay up front. I'm pretty sure this is an industry standard as there is no insurance assistance with this procedure.

Also, Dr. Kulkin's staff and office were completely professional but not "stuffy". It was an inviting environment.

So, I went ahead and scheduled the procedure for Thursday! Did not want to keep wasting time. Thanks again for the advise and clarification!

Much success to you. Definitely have some ice packs or frozen water bottles on hand when you get home

Is odor is an issue? I just had the treatment done 2 days ago......
June 19, 2016
Negative. I've actually been working really hard (outside and sweating from heat) around my house today as a matter of fact and there is just an ever so slight smell from my pits. I would not hesitate to change shirts and go eat at a diner or Cracker Barrel with this level of scent. In other words, someone would have to put their nose deep in my pits to find the scent :-). This benefit alone helps immensely with self confidence in public and stressful situations. Cannot praise this procedure enough!

That sounds really good! I'm hoping that I'll only need this one treatment. I'm looking forward to a life without the stress of having to deal with the odor & sweating
Wow that is great that you are already seeing such significant results. Please keep us posted on any other changes!
