So i am very active and eat pretty well but i have stubborn belly fat and i was so over it! I finally saved up and got it done.
I went to American lipo center in Atlanta. My nurse Sundance was awesome! My Dr was nice but seemed like a shy guy. Both answered all my questions and very honest.
The day of the surgery was about 4 hrs in total. I was pretty out of it most of the time.
I can see a difference and i am def smaller and i see definition! I still have soreness and numb on lower abdomen.
My incisions are healing.
I leaked only the first day.
I wear my gurdle 24/7 and a waist trainer at night.
I walk about 3 miles daily with a sport waist trainer.
Im just taking it day by day.
Oh but i do HATE the gurdle straps! They dig into my under arms!!

Hi there, just wondering did you surgeon recommend wearing the waist trainer on top of your compression garment. I have a waist trainer too but worried it would be too much to be using them both.

Nurse told me to wear the white compression garment over my girdle but i like wearing the trainer because it is tighter. It took me a few days to get up to wearing it a few hours. It was gradual. The nurse told me it was fine. Only do 2 sizes lower though...not to much

Girl, you already looked good, you have a small waist, but I totally understand wanting a FLAT tummy. Your stomach looks great, your abs are showing hunni :)

Didn't think I'd still be sore but i am. Not enough to be taking meds more of annoyance. I'm still a little numb too. I made it to 4 weeks so its exercise time. Im ready to do more than jog. I'll update on how i feel with a few days of working out.

I had tumescent lipo on my abdomen on April7th, 2015 & if u dont mind sharing more photos on your journey that would be helpful... I end up having a seroma which had to be drained 3 times, which disallowed me from getting my lymphatic massages so my first one will be tomorrow FINALLY. I do have the lumps and bumps & can not wait til my belly smooths out, LORD KNOWS!!

Oh no! Im so sorry to hear that! I was worried about those. I did not get any massages throughout my journey. I did follow a youtube therapist and did her 'diy' lymphatic massages. Ill update pics

Got my massage and I feel soooooo GOOD.. Going back for 2 more, one this evening and another on Saturday. I was told about 4 of them would help with reconditioning the flow of things and your lymphatic system after being destroyed by the procedure. i have also seen a few self Lymph massages on youtube as well but theres nothing like a professional doing it for you. If your financially able to I strongly suggest you at least try ONE.

Not much change

Don't feel much change. Hopefully it will keep sliming down. Still have pain but not enough for medication.
I wear the waist trainer for about 8 hrs a day. And wear a walmart slimmer for sleeping.

What was the exact date did you get your procedure done? I didnt have medication after my first 2 days... first day was percocet (which did not agree with me at all!), second day was over the counter extra strength tylenol. I too have been sore though but no pain. My sides are where I feel the tenderness still and def hate the numb feeling that I still have after 6 weeks. Ugh!

4/15 was my operation date. And still numb in my lower area too. I itch all over my stomach too. Im ready for this to be over
June 6, 2015
Yes u and I both... the itching can become very intense and is considered normal. It is said it's like an open sore that began to form a scab which causes itchiness from it healing. My current condition and concern is the hardness deep under the skin.

I just had my 6 week follow up and the nurse said to get the massages in case of hardening. Im now starting to feel some hardening that i dont think is my six pack!
