I've always wanted liposuction after I discovered that after having children my weight fluctuated. I eat pretty healthy, exercise 5 days weekly, but I have stubborn fat that won't go away. After being diagnosed with harmonsl imbalance and pre-diabetes, my medical doctor suggested that I remove some fat to get my metabolism going and to reverse my pre/diabetes. Right away I made up my mind to have lipo. I was referred to Dr. Taerri by two ppl and their results were great. Dr. Taerri examined me and gave suggestions. We scheduled my procedure in 3 sessions due to the large volume of fat to be removed and the number of areas I wanted to have lipo. Let me say this before someone makes a negative comment. I didn't have lipo to get slim. I had lipo to help "jump start" my journey to a better health. Sure I want to look great but lipo isn't designed to be an alternative for losing weight. Ok, now back to what I was saying. The first session was to remove fat from my stomach, back, flank & bra line areas. Studies show that losing weight esp in the mid section will reverse the pre/diabetes. I had about 6 liters of fat removed. I also had fat added to my buttocks to lift it. Honestly, I'm in so much pain due to the amount of fat removed. My back is the worst. I've gone to the office to have an ultrasound treatment and massage. My husband massages me several times a day and I have a LMT who comes to me to do lymphatic massages. It just takes time for the swelling to go away. If you are planning to do this, pls know that it's very uncomfortable but I don't regret a bit of this. Dr. Taerri is phenomenal. He texts me to ensure I'm ok. His staff asks if my meds are still good. Before the procedure he gives you info regarding "do's & dont's. Read the material and follow exactly what is said. I had my antibiotics called in a couple of days before my procedure. My Percocet was filled on the day of the procedure. Be ware, this medication makes you constipated. I'm a regular when I use the bathroom, so being on Percocet and having pain wasn't working for me. I opted to use Tylenol or my meds prescribed by my medical dr. called Tramadol . Ok so I read a review about someone who didn't remember the procedure and was burned due to large amount of fat being removed. I didn't get any burns but I too didn't remember anything after my IV was started. First off, I told him I was very nervous. The medication that he gave to keep me calm worked tremendously. I'm glad I didn't remember although it was crazy when my family said that I did things and said things like I normally do. Drugs are something serious!!! It's only been a little over a week and I'm still numb and very sore. I was told not to sit on my butt but I've done it since day 1. My drive home was almost 2 hours; therefore, I had no choice. There has not been in changes in my buttock since sitting. Maybe because I don't sit very long also I didn't have a lot of fat added because I have somewhat of a "booty" but I lost volume over the years and needed a lil lift. For someone who may have a lot of fat added to the buttocks, you may not want to sit for several weeks. Also order your "butt" pillow before the surgery because you will need it if you have to ride a for a while. My husband loves my look as he said, "Dr. Taerri sculpture you very well". Lol he enjoys doing my messages! I'm excited to get my lab work done in a month to see if my health has improved. I'm also excited about my 2nd session around Jan 24, 2016. I'm hoping that I have some relief from the swelling by then. My stomach is very big and swollen and the areas where my back fat is severely swollen. If ppl knew I had this done, they would ask me where on my body was fat removed because it's so swollen. Im very patient as Dr. Taerri said it takes about 4-6 weeks for swelling to go down and maybe even longer; however, I would see some contour results around the 3rd month up to a year. My next session consists of my inner & outer thighs, my arms, & chin. I will keep you all updated about my journey. The pics are right after the procedure. Sorry..,they look nasty.

Ice pack and massages
Fabulous OneDecember 28, 2015
Ive used cold beans as an ice pack for the last 2 days and to my surprise I have some relief. Im not sure if it's helping the swelling or just giving me relief. I'm still having daily massages from my husband & children. Maybe it's a combination of things to include the process of taking its' course. Anyway I'm glad ????

Good luck with your recovery and the other upcoming procedures. I'm scheduled to have lipo and bbl in early January and my biggest concern is the pain after. People describe it many ways from feeling like bad muscle pain to bad burning pain. Since I can't get a clear description it makes me nervous not knowing how it will be for me. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the well wishes. It's common to be nervous and I'm glad that you found out the truth about the pain and discomfort. In my opinion It's more uncomfortable than pain. At least you know what to look forward to so that you can prepare. I was told by several ppl that it would be a breeze and could return to work in 48-72 hours. No way possible (at least not for me). Please keep me posted. I know you're going to look fabulous!

One month post op

Well this is a very slow process. I'm still swollen but nothing like the beginning. I wear my garment daily. The skin on my back doesn't seem to be contracting. My stomach is still big (swollen) but i knew I would need a tummy tuck for the loose skin at the bottom. U had a lot of fat removed. I don't understand this! I have seen improvement in the top area but again it's still kind of hard & swollen. My surgeon says it usually takes about 3 months to really see changes. I've had lipo done on my arms, chin, and inner thighs this past Sunday. I knew I would have loose skin on my thighs because I had it before. I insisted on getting them done anyway just to see if I would get some improvement without aggressive lipo. I'm probably going to have a thigh lift when I have my tummy tuck if it's not too much to do at one time. Here are pics of my back. The first one is a couple of days post op. The second one is one month later. My skin doesn't seem to be contracting at all. I'm really sad ????. Has this ever happened to anyone? What was the solution? On a brighter note, I don't have to worry about my butt sagging. See pics.

I meant to say "I" had a lot of fat removed. Sorry for other misspelled words. The smart phn is not so smart. It types what it wants to.
