Still swollen after 2 weeks

I'm still very swollen in my inner thighs and arms. Removing a lot of fat is horrible. I'm walking like a cowboy to keep my legs from touching. I've had to order another compression garment from the Marena group because the first one is now too big in the mid area and thighs. I needed something tighter for the swelling from my second procedure. I love those garments. They are good to wear as a girdle after surgery! They also have a stage 2 compression. I've had massages twice week so far at 90 minutes each plus I receive cupping. The cupping has been painful but I think that's what is really helping me the most. I'm healing but slowly. I'm not sure if I would get lipo done again. If the tummy tuck is more painful, then I may have to keep the loose skin at the bottom. We shall see how I feel in about 6 months. I'm still taking my pain pills plus water pills that were prescribed for a few days. I rotate taking my pain pills. I take Tylenol during the day and my Percocet at night. Starting to feel more tingling so im guessing my nerves are finally repairing. HURRY PLEASE!!!

Are you in Atlanta area? Where are you getting your lymphatic massages? If you can provide info that will be great. I am having full body lipo and appreciate you documenting your journey.

Hi I have a masseuse that comes to my home. I also periodically go to the office where my procedure was done to get an ultra sound and cupping. Let me know if you want the massage therapist information.

Hi i live in Riverdale. I have a masseuse that comes to my home. I'm not sure if that's an option for you, but if so I can give you her information. I also periodically go to the office where my procedure was done to get an ultra sound and cupping. Let me know if you want the massage therapist information. She's great with lymphatic and deep tissue. Good luck with your procedure

Yes, I would love the info. I love in kennesaw, so not sure if they would commute up here. Where is their location? Did you have nurse come to your house after surgery? I really want to hire one, but I do not know if any. Thanks for any info!

I believe she would come to you. I think she charges by the mile but I tell you it's worth it when you don't feel like getting out. Her name is Nataki Burke 617-240-4623. Look her up on the web when you get a moment to check out her services. I can also get you another number for you on Monday. My doc referred me to someone but due to the distance, I didn't use her. I didn't have a nurse to come over because I was ok the next day. I didn't leak as much and I slept for 2-3 days while on the pain pills. Because I wasn't put to sleep, it wasn't like a major surgery so I opted not to use a nurse. If you don't have family or a close friend to help you for the first few days, then maybe you can hire a cna or nurse to assist with meals and bath. I showered on my own and my hubby made me salads, fruits, and smoothies. If you're worried about being completely down for a while, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Most tumescent lipo doesn't require that you are put to sleep. I've heard it's best not to be put to sleep. I did take anxiety pills. It worked both times because I don't remember the procedure at all. I don't remember anything that day after the procedure. If you want a nurse that you can hire, I do know of some RN's that you can ask about their services. I know a few CNA's as well. Depending on where you go and who you use, they sometimes have facilities where you would stay for a few days. Most of those patients have drains and don't have someone to assist them after the surgery. My doc doesn't use drains. He allows everything to come out naturally. I find that helpful because I've seen where some patients complain about the pain and possible infection. Whatever you do, make sure you get a good garment. Your doc should supply it as part of your procedure.

Hi I will take more pics today. It's still swollen but I'm seeing a little definition. The pain is not severe for some. I think it really depends on the amount of fat that is removed (whether its aggressive or not). You will do fine

I think you are so right. I think the more fat thatbis taken from an area depends on the recovery process for the person. But nomatter the recovery I can say that I have not seen regrets yet. My recovery I must admit is kicking my butt. But I see results.

So how does the pain feel around your navel. And is it more of a burning pain or what
FO

For the lipo it's more of a throbbing pain in the stomach. When the numbness subsides, it's a little sharp pain every now and then with a little of itching meaning the nerves are repairing. The lipo doesn't affects one part of your stomach (unless you are getting partial done) therefore it's not a specific pain for the navel only. I'm not sure the pain level for the tummy tuck being that the navel is re-done but from what I've heard from Newsmallwaistme and others, the tummy tuck is not as bad as lipo. The main things I'm not liking so far with lipo are: it takes about 6-12 months to see the results, very slow healing for large amount of fat removal, and the uncomfortable feeling of swelling through out the day. The massages add ups and can cost well over $400.00 per month. I paid cash for my procedures and it seems like I'm constantly douching out money to heal properly. Hmmm maybe I'm not drinking enough water or something. Pls don't let this discourage u. I feel better each day although some days are better than others. I've seen a lot of reviews from others who healed much quicker and have no regrets what so ever. Make sure u ask your surgeon plenty of questions before the procedure esp regarding the amount of fat that may be removed, the number of sessions, and what is expected post-op.

I had a tummy tuck and lipo done and honestly, the lipo areas is what hurt the most. Well, my back hurt really bad at first also from walking bent over (I also had muscle repair), but the incision didn't rally hurt at all. I get shooting pains through my stomach sometimes from the nerves healing, but other than my back, the lipo was the worst for me at first. If you're able to manage with all of the areas you had lipoed, you can manage a tt.

This lipo thing is beginning to be a bit much. I'm trying not to complain because this is what I wanted and at the end I know I will appreciate my results. My husband massages me twice a day, I get two professional massages a week and sometimes I get the ultrasound and cupping. My body is still swollen!!! My thighs and arms are the worst. My stomach and back are going down but barely and slowly. I'm wondering if my lymphatic system is working properly. I'm gonna start jumping on my mini trampoline to see if it helps with the swelling. Maybe I should have gotten a tummy tuck and thigh lift to prevent this uncomfortable swelling. My body is hard as a rock in some places.

I'm planning to take pics soon but right now it wouldn't make sense because I look the same (in my opinion). To others, they can tell a difference.

Now I feel horrible

FO
Fabulous One
My last review I stated I didn't need my pain pills. A couple of days ago I couldn't be touched without tearing. I guess the general anesthesia wore off. I've been taking my pills every 6 hours now and has been in bed for 2 days. Today is better. Liposuction to the inner thighs is no joke! I noticed today that the bruises are lightening. I take Arnica and Vitamin C pills.

What do you take the arnica pills for? I'm getting lipo and butt lift in week and a half and I see a bunch of people on here take these

Lipo to chin, arms, and inner thighs

FO
Fabulous One
My thighs were horrible to begin with. I've gained and lost weight so much over the years and my skin has become a nightmare. I was informed that aggressive lipo to my thighs would leave extra loose skin. In fact I was told that lipo period would leave loose skin. I insisted on getting a little fat removed just to see if it would smooth out some. I also had fat removed from my knees. My legs look an extra hot mess but I still have hope. Probably should have done aggressive lipo to inner and outer thighs and later got a thigh lift. Here are pics 3 days post op. I'm very sore, bruised, and swollen. I'm actually able to get out of bed with this procedure. The first procedure I didn't get around pretty good early. I haven't had any pain meds either. My doc doesn't use drains; therefore, I leaked like crazy the first day and half. So far so good. Again I'm not looking to get skinny. I would like to have a little push to get out of prediabtic stage. I will continue to eat clean and exercise. Of course I can't help but want to look good in the process. Who wouldn't?
