WORTH IT$600
Does anyone feel that there family member's may be a little jealous? I had support from one of them then when I told them I lost 13lbs there attitude changed big time. They don't want to talk to me about the surgery are hear about it. It is someone who is very close to me as well. This person has struggled with there weight on and off but its not a big issue with them. I really hope she is not jealous. I need support and encouragement.

Don't let that family member get you down. They might be jealous but they will get over it. And if they don't, once they see in the future how happy the surgery made you, maybe they will come around and want to do it themselves. Good luck with your journey. Best thing you could have done for yourself. I am 5 months out and feel GREAT and down 50 pounds. :)

it does sound like shes a bit jealous, but just talk to her about it and how much you value her support :) she should come round

One of the things I was told in pre consult was to get ready for people's reactions and responses. They told me to expect the "she's smaller than us now" comments, and the questions and the jealousy. I was told to prepare myself for that. When I told my closest friend I was "thinking" about it she told me she hoped I didn't end up looking like a bobble head. Depending on how you handle negativity and stress, I'd distance myself from people who can't share in your joy, relief, goals, happiness. You did the sx for you! You should be able to talk about it when you want and get the support you deserve. You've come so far. Stay positive.
