WORTH IT
I have always had huge boobs since I could remember. In fact they grew so large and so fast that I've had HORRIBLE stretch marks on the tops of them since age 11.
I made the decision to have them done recently due to chronic neck & back pain, and so far I feel like a great weight has been lifted!

How much was removed from each breast

I am unsure of exactly how much. Dr. Chang said roughly about 500g from each side. I will find out at my post op visit next week
September 22, 2016
Ok thanks I am a 36ddd and one dr stated that he will take off 500 but another dr told me that 500 might be too much but keep us posted with ur results

Yes my insurance covered it, I have blue cross blue shield
September 26, 2016
That's awesome. Did they give you a hard time about using their insurance?

Nope. Initially I was denied, but I was seeing a physiatrist for about a month prior to my consult with Dr. Chang. I did physical therapy had X-Rays & an MRI (to rule out the source of my pain) and once I submitted that information I was thankfully approved like 2 weeks later!

Hi, Honestly, I looked at your before and all your after pics (and I'm real big on perfection) and your boobs are perfect. Your surgeon did an excellent job. Yo know we are are worst critics and we want to see perfection in every way. Unfortunately, humans can never be 100% perfect, but your boobs like 99.99% perfect. Your after pic is my wish pic. lol! Congrats on your new look. In about 3 months you will be screaming you love your girls. lol

Aww thanks Nicole! I am def my worst critic. I just need to give it time & relax. I've wanted them done for so long that I'm just obsessing lol

Not to be too nosey but did your insurance pay for your reduction?
User Avatar

Yes they did

That's great. My insurance wants me to go to physical therapy etc...I have gouges in my shoulders but no extreme back pain so that is why they won't pay. :-(

Very mild pain, I'm sure due to the Exparel injection I received. I feel a lot of tightness (like after exercising) but other than that it's all good! I reached in to touch my nips and I'm happy to say I still have feeling in them. Can't wait to finally see the girls, I pray they are a full C (they appear to be B cups right now). I have no drains, which is awesome, and also only have skin tape---no external sutures. Will upload some new pics in a few days when I get the okay to remove my bandages ????

Why weren't drains put in?
User Avatar
September 27, 2016
Dr. Chang told me that she just does not use drains, apparently many other surgeons no longer use them either. I'm not sure exactly why, she just told me I didn't need them.
September 30, 2016
Fair enough. She seems to have done a really good job on your girls. I'm still doing research on a good dr I want a mommy makeover (hopefully) my last daughter won't give up on bf... Were you able to use your health insurance? $1k is rather cheap....

Yep I used my insurance, $1k was the cost of my deductible

Took my first shower today and took a peak at the girls. I'm not loving the shape thus far and they look way smaller than a C cup in my opinion, but I will give it some time. Still very little pain, I only need my pain meds once/twice daily. I do have some drainage seeping from the side of my right Breast, I'm hoping it is not anything serious, I'll keep an eye on it over the weekend. Other than that, I'd say I'm healing very well ????
