Deflated B! Getting BA with 450cc HP no lift
ORIGINAL POST
I'm a military mother of 4! And wanted implants...
WORTH IT$3,998
I'm a military mother of 4! And wanted implants since my first child. I have always been self conscious and if I knew what a beating my boobs would take, I would have set money aside a long time ago for this procedure. Goodness. My breasts always fluctuate with every pregnancy. Largest I have been was a 32E!, My most recent max size was a 36DD. Of course, I don't get to keep the lovely breasts. I have lost volume and size. I am currently a 32b and still nursing. Not sure how long I will have to wait to consult after nursing.
I am pretty sure once done, my breast will return to about a 32a and have loose skin.
I am looking to get a implants that fill volume and size. Since my breast have loose skin, I believe a D or DD would be the size I am shooting for.

Wishing you the best! Have you decided what type/size (cc) implants you want? Any other details would be interesting to know… :-)

Consult today!
Went on my Consult today. I visited with Dr. Okoro and his lovely staff. Everyone was so friendly and it was a very happy easy going atmosphere. I was able to get 3D imaging done. Discussed size and profile as well as incision. I paid 10% and sadly the soonest date he has is MAY 14th. So that is the surgery date unless someone comes up short : (
I also have another consult with Dr. Colgrove Mid March. So far Im in love with Dr. Okoro and love his price. I was able to nab 3,999 deal BA with Silicone. He has spectacular credentials and a fellow service member!

The only issue I had was my wait time. My appt was at 1:30. I walked in at 1:12 and I didnt leave until 3:00pm. I got a tour of the facilities and then escorted to a lab room - put on robe - escorted to take my 3d imaging- back to lab room..waited about 35 min to see doc. Consult with him about 15 min. Pre op 2 weeks before surgery date.

Congratulations! It’s exciting to prepare for a BA. I felt like the hardest part was picking my size and the wait for surgery, but it creeps up on you before you know it! Best wishes to you!

Good for you.
I do think another consult is a GREAT idea!!
I always advocate everyone getting multiple consults. And ask a ton of questions! You do NOT want to get surgery and find out afterwards that you didn't get the results you really wanted...which is why taking in pictures of your wish boobs is good. And getting multiple consults is very good.
Don't hesitate to reach out to others on here who's results you like or who look similar to your boobs pre-op...that can really help you get some realistic goals for your results.
I wish you the best. Have a super day!!

THank you so much for your reply. I went on another consult with DR. Colgrove as well. He is a brilliant surgeon but I didn't have a connection with him. 0 bedside manner. I felt rushed and it made me very anxious. So now that my surgery date is moved up im just freaking out. Ive never been under before and how do I know if im allergic to anesthesia? The closest I've come to surgery is getting an epidural. Do you recommend any particular type of bras post op? I was given a linder bra, but do you recommend any from amazon? What about preop items? Im going to check out your page now!! Also are you on Bustmob secret group on Facebook?

I am not bustmob but may join. I'll see. If I do, PillowTops will be in my name.
As far as post-op:
I used the bra they sent me home with. Then whatever I could get stretchy that fit at Walmart. I have had BAD luck online shopping. So I don't want to steer you wrong. Ask your doc his recommendation for recovery bras. I like being able to see and try vras on so much more now. It's vital. You need the right size! (Read on my review about measurements...it's SoOoOoOoO important to get this accurate when bra shopping post op!)
Each doc has their own style and method. It's always best to see what your doc wants because they're the one who knows your specific needs and situation.
As far as prep... lots of pillows to prop yourself up for a week or so. Or even wedge pillows. Some premade food/meals unless someone else is going to cook. Plan on a solid week (maybe slightly less or maybe more) of not being able to lift much or move easily and a lack of arm movement. And a few weeks to really start to feel normal again. (Also ask your doc about post-op stretching...sooo important!!!... it'll heal you faster and help with soreness!)
Being upper 30s it took me a good month to two to reallllllly feel right again. Tired easily and soreness, etc.
So plan on things being as simple as possible for a couple weeks. Seriously!!! Easy meals, prepped food, or caretakers!
Get your doc's recommendation for post of creams/lotions/scar treatment. Some of them are expensive and you may want to budget. And they aren't immediate anyway.
Some ladies like ice packs early on. I wish I'd have used a heating pad on my lower back.
And do some reading on morning boob and waking up sore. It's real. VERY. For a few weeks.
And research frankenboob, so you know what to expect and don't freak out when they look weird for a month or two. And get your doctor prescribed meds ahead of time. You do NOT want to not have them when you get home.
I think that's most of it!
Just ask if you think of something.
I slept most of the first and a lot on the second day. You may expect that. Ask your doc about the anesthesia. I'm sure there's some way to find out if you are allergic...but I have no clue other than asking them.
Hope some of that helps! <3

Oooh....have some comfy shirts for the first week!!! You may not want to have to lift your arms for dressing and undressing! Some ladies wear button ups or loose stuff that first week or so. I did.
Also ask if your doc recommends and provides the boobie strap for post op. I was sent home with one. It's for settling the chest muscles. If he recommends one but doesn't provide it, you'll want that within the first couple days your home too.
And ginger ale and saltines if you're sensitive to meds. For your tummy!
And you WILL be constipated for at least a few days after. Up to a week. And bloated for up to a few weeks. Happens to all of us.
I think that's all. Hugs.

That being said, I'm sure you'll learn that your pre-op boob is going to dictate one million percent your post-op boob look. You don't change the shape of your boob with implants alone. Just the size and fullness. that change is only possible with a lift and certain types of implants. So, again, do your research and talk to people who have what you want, and talk to multiple doctors!
Also, implants does NOT mean you automatically need a lift later on, or have to get new implants every so often, or anything like that. Those are old wives tales. If you take care of your new boobs and don't have any medical complications, you can keep them. It's that simple. I had that conversation with my doctor at length. And researched my butt off. Used to be you had to get them changed out every so often. Why? Because they used to use less safe materials that caused complications. The field had drastically improved. And that's why finding the best, qualified and trustworthy doctor is so vital. Get a bad one and you may just need resurgery some day, guaranteed. Get a good one, and that is not even close to a requirement. It can become a choice... if you have no issues, of course.
Also, you can not really ask a doctor to give you a certain cup size. It's impossible to predict how each person will respond to and "eat" up CCs. It's best to find boobs you love...what size and shape (with pictures)...and find bodies and pre-op boobs similar to you, and find results of them that you also like...and take all of that (pics) to your doctor and discuss your options, your goals, and how to get you there. A general idea is 150-200 CCs is a cup size. To a very small woman, 100 CCs may be a cup size. To a larger woman to "eats" CCs and generally has a lot of pre-op tissue, she may need 200-250 CCs for one cup size. They really can't accurately predict it. But they can give you an IDEA based on your goals, your size, your body, and all of those individual factors that are unique to each of us.
For me, I started out as a 32a/b (true size), but was wearing a 36b/c and had no clue why my bras never fit right (I have wide boobs naturally, so the correct cups always felt wrong, I would go up in size to compensate and wear them too loose too!). I got XL implants, and now I am taping (taped measurements for most accurate bra size) at 32" ribs and 41-42" boobs at fullest, which makes me a 32 I-J. I'd have never guessed I'd end up so large and would NEVER in a million years look at someone my size body and boobs and have ever guessed that was my/her bra size. No way. I'd have guessed double D's or something slightly bigger. For sure.
So, a true DD isn't very large and our perceptions are usually off in how we see boobs versus actual/true bust sizes. Nobody believes the girl who actually had DDs that she's that big and nobody believes the J cup that she isn't DDs. It's all perceptions. So, don't focus on a cup size. Just looks you like most. And it does help that you've had larger breasts before, do you know that you can handle big boobs. That part is not an issue for you, if you enjoyed your full mommy boobs!
Hope some of this helps you.
Most importantly is just do your research and find a good doctor and don't let other people's experience or opinions dictate the best decisions YOU need to make for YOURSELF. If you truly want implants, then it's a wonderful decision that can work miracles for your body image and self esteem....I know, I am a million times more self confident... but if it's not something you REALLY want, it can be a horrible decision too. I knew it was right for me and never doubted it for a second. But it isn't for everyone. Sometimes just wearing a double padded push up bra is all a girl needs to feel boobiliciois!! Sometimes not. You must discover that for yourself... thru research and questions questions questions. You're in the right place to begin your search and journey!
Have a wonderful day! You deserve it.
