How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Ruptured implants

Most plastic surgeons and doctors, in general, will tell you that it's not possible for breast implants to make you sick. Yet there are tens of thousands of us on social media that can testify that they do make us sick AND we get better once they are removed.

Ruptured implants removed saved my life

Even though other doctors, including the implanting surgeon, told me it "was not possible" for implants to be making sick or for them to be ruptured - this is what Dr Julian Gordon in Dr. Kolbs office removed from my body. He was scraping silicone from my ribs. I will forever be grateful to Dr's Gordon and Kolb for giving me a chance to have a life again after 15 years of slowly dealing health that was denied by numerous other doctors, including many plastic surgeons. BTW - I'm pretty sure it was the mammograms I was told were safe for implants that ruptured them.

I've waited to write my review because I was...

I've waited to write my review because I was initially so sick from the candida fungus, mold and silicone toxins that I had to give myself some time to get my feet back under me. I am beyond pleased that I somehow found my way to Atlanta and Dr Susan Kolb and her office. While Dr Julian Gordon did my explant surgery, Dr Kolb has been there every step of the way to help heal my body from over 15 years of being slowly poisoned by first saline implants that were moldy, leaked into my body in 2006 and were replaced with silicone (although I didn't discover they were moldy until I read the surgical report in 2011 when trying to figure out why I was so sick - the implanting surgeon never told me he found mold).

After years of primary, specialists and surgeons telling me there was nothing wrong with me - Dr Kolb and her work finally gave me some answers. It was easy to make the decision to schedule with her. My enbloc explant was done on 4/30/15.

Dr Kolb emailed and communicated with me prior to my even scheduling with her office and has always responded to my email inquiries promptly then and since then. Dr Gordon helped me to feel at ease and responded to emailed inquiries as well.

While getting the implants out was the first step I knew I had a ways to go and can happily report that at 4 months post explant, with Dr Kolbs expert help and guidance, I feel I have a chance at life after 15 years of going from active and healthy to completely disabled, unable to work and feeling each day as though I was dying.

I will forever be grateful for Dr Kolb's work to reveal the truth about breast implants, help women heal from this devastating illness and can highly recommend her and Dr Gordon as experts in this field.
