Hello! I am 4 day post op, and wish I had someone to talk to other than my doctor. I have four children all which I breast feed. I have always hated my breast or lack thereof. I often hated looking in the mirror. Now I find myself flashing myself whenever I walk past. I am not in much pain at all... I have a heaviness in my chest which scares me. Noone here knows.. They only know I had surgery but not for what. I would appreciate some comments on what to expect and what I should and can do at this point I wear my bra 24/7. I can feel my nipples but they feel different. They look small when I'm lying down, but good when I'm standing. When should I expect them to drop, and feel more natural? What size do they look like? Will I be able to wear a push up bra?

Post Op Day 5.... I'm still sore, but have not been on pain meds for two full days. I am experiencing pressure and back pain more than anything.
I wish I could receive some feedback from others who have gone through this. Please feel free to respond to my questions.
Thank You

Congrats ToughCookie21! So good to hear from ladies around our age! I am 5 1/2 weeks post op. Everyone heals differently, but I definitely recommend taking it easy the first few days. I went back to work after 6 days, and I wish I waited 2-3 days more. My job entails driving all day, light pushing , pulling . I definitely had an easier time with the steering wheel, walking, etc. on my 7-9 days post op. Every day you'll get better!
Thanks SunnyCat... I am scheduled to return Wednesday (Post Op... Day 9) so I pray I'll be ok. What size do they look to you? I was so out of it with my pain meds forgot to ask my PS when he called (now I have to wait until next week)
Congratulations! It will take several weeks, even a few months, for your new breasts to settle in. Try to be patient. Some members find it helpful to take pictures each week so they can look back and see the gradual dropping and fluffing progress. Keep us posted!
Okay thanks Beth.. The surgical bra is very uncomfortable
Maybe call your doctor and ask if you can switch to a supportive sports bra yet? ;)
Good suggestion.. He said yes woo-hoo. Thanks
Ah, hooray! Show us a picture of your new bra soon! So happy for you!
Congratulations!!!! My suggestion is to take it as easy as you can (with 4 children, may not be so easy!), but listen to your body and get enough rest. I was tight and sore for quite awhile, but I did not have much breast tissue or room to put the implant in so it's taken awhile for me to stretch. My nipples were sore in the beginning and then around 3 weeks they went through this hypersensitive phase where everything bothered them. That only lasted 10 days or so. I would say from week 7 on, they really started to feel like mine. I still have to watch as certain movements will cause a twinge here or there, but for the most part I am doing great. I have an active job I went back to at day 8 (too soon for me, in hindsight...). Now I can do most things at work as long as I am careful and I am 2 months today. At 51, my only regret is waiting so long to do it. Keep posting those pictures and feel free to ask any questions. That is what we are all here for! What we share here may help someone else on their journey. Good luck and get some rest. You will find you tire a lot quicker than normal. That will improve in no time. :-)
Thanks Inspirer! I return to work on Wednesday so I am trying to rest as much as possible. I feel like a slouch. I will try to move around tomorrow as that is the eve before I return to work.
How long did it take for your breast to fluff?
