TT / BBL W/hips / Additional Lipo

Had my consult in June and scheduled for surgery July 18th with Dr. Jimerson!! I wasn't ready for that price tag but so far the service has been great. I think I'm kind of in a disbelief state in which I can't believe this is actually happening but I know I need to get it together because my day will be here before I know it. So far I've only done my medical clearance. I don't live in Georgia so I will be making my flight and hotel arrangements today. I was given a corporate code for a hotel close to the surgery center which makes the room $109/night. I was also given info for after surgery care but my friend wants to be there for me so I'm saving $ on that part. It would be just over $800 for 48 hours of care. My patient coordinator says if all goes well I can go home after my post-op appt which will be on July 24th at which time my drains will be removed. About the drains - Dr. Jimerson uses a different type of drain now. It's one that only comes out about an inch and no bulb. Apparently the old drains were much longer and had a bulb to catch the fluid. Now they are short and fluid will drain freely into gauze within the compression garment. I was told to buy some depends to help catch the fluids, GROSS!! Definitely not looking fwd to that!! Going to need 2 comp garments. Patient coordinator said I'll be told what size stage 2 garment to get at my post-op visit. I have read enough on this site to know I will not be over packing. Dr. J's office gives a list of items to have as well as a bunch of literature on how to prepare for and what to do after surgery. That's all I have for now ladies. We are on the road ladies!! Making our way to Georgia at this very moment. my pre-op is tomorrow and surgery is on Tuesday. I have all my supplies with me. Only thing I'll need to pick up after pre-op is the prescription meds. I'm excited and scared at the same time. I will post pictures and measurements tonight or tomorrow so you all can see what I'm working with. Prayers are always welcomed!!

The worst pain EVER!! I do not recommend having TT and BBL done at the same time. The recovery is pure hell!! I've had my husband with me every step of the way and I mean EVERY STEP! Don't try to do this on your own. I've been taking pain meds every 4 hours which seems to help. I don't take the muscle relaxers because I don't like the way it makes me feel. I've been getting lymph massages every day starting the day after surgery. This I recommend! It hurts like you wouldn't believe but afterwards you will feel a lot better. Today I went for my massage and felt a little more tired than normal. I was saying that I had no energy so the nurse immediately checked my blood and found that my hemoglobin was low. At the same time my BP was low as well so I got my massage then I had to stay and get 2 bags of IV while they monitored my BP. I was able to leave after that. Ladies, you MUST eat and drink, drink, drink!! I have not had much of an appetite so I was just forcing myself to eat little bits of food. Please eat. It's so important that you do. And even though I was drinking a lot of water and Gatorade, it wasn't enough. Take my advice and save yourself the misery. Eat small meals (meals, not snacks) and drink a lot more than you would normally drink.
