I have really wide hips. I always have. And my booty wasn't small but it just wasn't proportionate to width of my hips. Additionally, it seemed like most of my junk was in the top of my trunk which made my butt look flat and square. I've always joked about getting "cheap implants" to make my butt hard and round, but when I met Dr. Yalif in 2013 and learned of the fat transfer procedure, I began to seriously consider it. Besides, who doesn't want a little free tummy taming??? Two birds, one stone! I decided to start saving and about a year later I had enough to go ahead.

First, it hurt. A lot. I didn't realize how bruised and swollen I would be. My procedure was on Thursday and I thought I'd be back to work on Monday. I took the whole week off, fully anticipating that I would be bored and go back early. I was wrong. I needed the full week to recover. It was rough. My butt didn't really hurt. It was the extensive lipo that was so painful. I was pretty sore for 2-3 weeks.

After 6 months and the swelling had all settled, I realized that I wanted a bit more sculpting. The revision was included in the original fee so I only had to pay for the facility and anesthesia. The majority of the lipo in the first surgery was from my torso so the second round was mostly harvested from my thighs.

I know you can't expect perfection but it's really hard not to want it. There are still a couple of things that I wish were different. There is a spot above my belly button that bulges a bit and there are still a few lumps and bumps on my booty that I was hoping would magically disappear during the procedure. They are certainly less substantial but they are still there. I would say that I started around 50% of where I wanted to be and after the first procedure I was about 75% there. Today, after the revision, I think I'm about 90% to the perfect booty. I'll take that!

All in all, it was totally worth it! So glad I did it!

From the first time I met Dr. Yalif, there was a comfort with him. I did my due diligence and met with other surgeons before making a decision but in the end I felt like Dr. Yalif understood my "vision" the best. I explained extensively, brought in pictures, and drew images to demonstrate the shape I desired and I always felt like he listened to me. He has a casual yet professional communication style which instilled a great deal of confidence in me and I always felt like I was in great hands. He was extremely attentive post-op and saw me as much as I needed. I actually enjoyed the office visits with him and the staff so much that I was a little sad when I was all done. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yalif to anyone that asked!
