Still having problems with my right ankle, still swollen. At the end of the day it's difficult to wear some of my shoes. I am trying to be patient as my doctor advised me and concentrate in the good results

I am just two and a half weeks post op thigh/butt lift and having problems with an infection that has me worried plus really bad swelling in my calves and ankles, although surprisingly my thighs are better. How are you feeling now? Are you still pleased with the results? Did your swelling in ankles go down yet? Hope all is going well in your recovery

I am sorry to hear about the infection, I really hope you are doing better now. Did you have the vertical thigh lift? I noticed that the incisions on the upper thigh are the most difficult to heal. My right ankle is still swollen, although it is much better now. I do not feel pain but i really didn't expect to be swollen 2.5 months after surgery especially in that area.I started playing tennis again as well as yoga training and I feel happy about that. I am still pleased with the results, although I haven't seen any changes, I think that what you see the first 3 weeks is what you finally get. Of course if I could go back I would have had lipo in the outer thigh first and then the thigh lift. Wish you a quick recovery, try to be as patient as possible...

Thanks for your encouragement! I'm so glad to hear you were able to work out and have fun again. I'm really looking forward to that! I still have the infection and unfortunately it's not looking much better after 2 1/2 weeks of antibiotics. I'll be seeing my surgeon again in a few days so hopefully he'll be able to figure out what's wrong and what we can do to fix it. I'm wearing the surgical socks again. It really helps with the swelling of my calves and ankles. Don't be too discouraged about swelling and the look of your thighs right now. If it's anything like my tummy tuck last year it took at least six months for all of the swelling to go down and 9 to 10 months to get the full impact of how minimal the scar would be. If my thigh scars are as minimal as my tummy tuck scars, then absolutely no one will see them no matter how short my shorts!

Did you have saddlebags before? If so, did the lift help?
January 8, 2017
I am not sure I understand what you mean by saddlebags. I had saggy skin everywhere especially on my inner thighs and knees. I had cellulite too, which doesn't go away but improves as the skin tightens. I will try to post some more pics

Saddlebags are when the outer thigh bulges out. After losing 120+ lbs over the last several years, I had a lower body lift this past Aug. I hate the way it left my contour. My hips/torso look great but when you come down off my hips to my outer thighs, my thighs bulge out wider than my hips.

I posted a terrible before picture, I don't know if it answers your question. For the time being I can't see my thighs bulging out, but perhaps it's early to say. I think we must concentrate in the good results and try to forget the bad ones

From your pictures, you do not have the outer thigh problem that I have. It's very disheartening for me because I can fit into a size 8 jeans but they are too tight for my thighs...they don't even fit into a 12. A 12 is still too tight for my thighs and are very big at the waist and hips. I'm trying to figure out what to do. I had asked my surgeon about Lipo and he said the skin will not snap back in the outer thigh. I think perhaps he should have done lipo at the same time he did the lower body lift so that would not have been an issue. Well thank you for responding.

I can understand your disappointment, your doctor should have told you to have Lipo first. I also wanted to have lipo on the outer thigh and I thought I was going to , but the day of the surgery my doctor told me that it would be dangerous for me so I had lipo only on the inner thigh and knee. He also told me that I could have lipo afterwards but I'm not going to because I'm afraid of having saggy skin again

Your pictures still look great! Congratulations.
