I'm 7 weeks out from my neck lips and I have the same situation as you do. My doc said it will take 6-9 months before I see he final (and hopefully) better result.

Should have read 'neck lipo'

lol - well, I feel like I have "neck lips"! I would have thought it would be gradual healing - this just feels stagnant and is very frustrating. Keep me posted on how you're doing!

I got a problem like you and for almost 2 years it stays the same .

Seriously! If we don't see any drastic improvements by even going under the knife than what is the point of all of us doing it. It's not fun and it's expensive and can be risky too. Why would the doctor not want to give it his all, he's getting paid and he's there. I'm pissed for you. It's just terrible.

I believe the doctor does plan to give his all. He wants to make it right. I'm just waiting it out for a bit to see if eventually, the swelling goes down. If it doesn't, he will go in again. I would prefer not to go through it all again but will if I don't see results in the next couple of months. I'm just sharing all of this so that others know there's a possibility of not seeing results right away. I had my procedure done because I wanted to look good for my son's wedding. I cut it WAY too close to the wedding and ended up looking worse. I'm hoping I can keep others from making that mistake.

You are very thoughtful to share this experience with others. I'm trying to do the same, I had Kybella. I have had lipo on my stomach/flanks. I saw a small change initially, but at 6 to 9 months later it turned into a significantly better result, my pants were slightly looser a month after my lipo, but at 9 months I needed all new pants, they were sliding off. It's good to hear your doctor will make it "right". Financially that helps, and creates goodwill. I did have lymphatic massages at one point, that sped up the healing for me, and it was relaxing.

Thank you. That gives me hope. I will probably have another procedure in October (the next window of time I have available) but I'm hoping the swelling is miraculously gone by then. I'll keep you posted.

6 weeks

Still frustrated with this crazy amount of swelling. I see no difference from before the procedure other than the shape of my chin(s) appearing a bit more square. Still hoping that magic 3-6 month mark will show a new me.

Wonder why your sister got such good results in two weeks. Possibly the doctor did not remove as much as he should have from you. I would think you are not swollen anymore.

Residual swelling from chin lipo can last 5 to 6 months. She is still swollen. OCmama have you had this procedure before?

Patience is not my virtue

Inching along with my healing. Wish I could fast forward to 3 months out. I'm praying I have a singular chin at that point rather than chins!

I saw my surgeon yesterday and he said 5 weeks is just the beginning and this procedure is the gift that keeps on giving for 5 months. So remember it's still really early in the healing process!!
