My procedure was 4 weeks ago and I'm still feeling like a lumpier, fatter version of my old self. Sadly, I did not discover this site before having my chin lipo done. I did it to feel more confident at a very special occasion last weekend. Needless to say I ended up feeling like more of a bullfrog instead! My sister had it done with wonderful results within two weeks. Unfortunately my chin is still extremely swollen. I see many reviews in here with the same struggles but find very few with final results. I'd love some encouragement from those who are 3-6 months post opp and happy they've done it. Right now, I feel I've made a $3,000 mistake!

I've been massaging, applying bio oil, wearing compression garment at night, warm compresses and even tried Preparation H to reduce swelling. I'm open to any other suggestions.

Greetings, I have not had chin lipo, but I have had lipo to other areas of my body. I have found that Arnica gel has helped reduce my swelling after my liposuction procedures.

Thank you. I tried it a bit in the beginning but I'll give it another go.

You're welcome! I also take the Arnica pellets by mouth 3 times a day.

Give it time. You will get to see the final results around 4 months. That's when i saw mine. My chin continued to heal but I still wasn't happy because it looked uneven. I was upset with the outcome so the doctor did 2 teeatments of kybella at his own cost...$300 per session. The kybella cleaned it all up but I still have some scar tissue. Going to see the Dr in 2 days to get the scar tissue injected with a steroid. I had the lipo over a year ago. Hang in there. If you are not happy after 8 to 10 months tell the Dr you want kybella at his cost. It really does work. I found out that scar tissue is always gonna be there so massage it so it flattens out as much as possible. Good luck and don't settle until you are happy!

I have an appointment with my Doctor next week and will discuss this with him. Thanks for the advice !

Give it up. I had a neck lift October 2015 . Was lumpy so the surgeon performed liposuction ( March 2016) which made it worse....made it lumper. Now I have to go back in to surgery and have another neck lift to correct that mess. Fingers crossed

Yikes! Good luck with your second lift. I have confidence my doctor will make it right. He's not happy with my results either.

Did he make incisions by your ears? I looks like he didn't contour along your jawline.
April 19, 2017
Yes he did. I think my swelling has just sort of "locked in". I don't think it's my doctor's fault.

My lipo looks like yours. The center is gone but I need more on the sides. May get a touch up

Inching along with my healing. Wish I could fast forward to 3 months out. I'm praying I have a singular chin at that point rather than chins!

I saw my surgeon yesterday and he said 5 weeks is just the beginning and this procedure is the gift that keeps on giving for 5 months. So remember it's still really early in the healing process!!

6 weeks

Still frustrated with this crazy amount of swelling. I see no difference from before the procedure other than the shape of my chin(s) appearing a bit more square. Still hoping that magic 3-6 month mark will show a new me.

Wonder why your sister got such good results in two weeks. Possibly the doctor did not remove as much as he should have from you. I would think you are not swollen anymore.

Residual swelling from chin lipo can last 5 to 6 months. She is still swollen. OCmama have you had this procedure before?
