WORTH IT
I’ve been bullied about my nose as long as I can remember because you know, she’s a little too wide or ‘whatevah. But no, seriously. All my life I’ve been insecure about my nose. I felt like it has always been too wide and flat for my liking. Makeup does a lot but it can only do so much. I thought it was time to get my nose done. I’ve talked to several surgeons in the Philippines along with the famous Dr. Yap. I fell in love with his work. The results he posts on Instagram is almost impossible and that’s why I did a few research. I’ve read a couple of good and bad reviews but that didn’t stop me from approaching him. He explained what he can do to my nose. He suggested that I go under general anesthesia as he perform rhinoplasty along with alarplasty and tiplasty (which he will be harvesting the bone from my ear) and it all just sounded too complicated to me and his visions I guess just didn’t meet mine. So I proceeded to another doctor that I’ve been fond of which is Dr. Alex. Now I love how quick he is to communicate and respond to all of my inquiries in emails so I decided to maybe consider him. He then gave me a quotation along with the things he’d like to perform on my nose which are rhinoplasty and alarplasty under local anesthesia. I did my research with him and finally decide to go to his clinic. So I’ve booked an appointment at his clinic for the surgery. I will be flying to the Philippines in February 26 (which is the 27th there) and land on the 28th. So I scheduled my appointment the next day. And I truly am very excited. I just hope I made the right choice.

Stitches Removal at 4 days post op

Dr. Alex was able to remove my stitches on March 5th which was my 4 days post op allowing my sutures to heal quicker. My recovery was a lot faster than I’ve expected. Most of the swelling was gone after 8 days post operation and that time even without makeup most of the people I hung out with didn’t even noticed I had my nose done. My sutures blended with the curve of my alar and Dr. Alex did a wonderful job with the stitching. You can barely see it! The pictures I’m posting with this review is my 8th days post of at the wedding in which I was able to put makeup on ( even when I was forbidden to do so lol )

You look beautiful! Did he use an implant? Also how long was the surgery and were you under a local or general anesthesia?

Thank you! He used goretex implant. And had my alar trimmed. It was under local anesthesia. The procedure took about 45 minutes or under. It was a quick procedure.

So true.. ive been commenting here bec. i truly wanna warn people abou this doctor.. he ruined not just my nose but my life.. i look terrible my nose was over trimmed and the scar is very very visible cant even hide with makeup im gonna upload my pics

Hi Havana, we have the same experience with this doctor he ruined my nose too! The stitches on the alar side does not heal well and it formed keloids and cannot be covered by make up. He is too pricey but not worth the price. He will tell you that you need to undergo dermabrasion to minimize the visibility of the scar and thats another 10k per session! Its not included in his package! I just realize that the complain in Tulfo are all true! I should have not believe with the pics posted on their FB page. Its all altered with photoshop to make it look perfect but in reality its not!

My surgery was $2k which doesn't include the medicines that I had to buy my own plus the hotels and flights that I booked. He doesn't have any profile here that I know of since he's based in the Philippines. His clinic page on Instagram is La nouvelle image

I am but my friend accidentally pinched my nose real hard to the point where I heard a crack and my nose had swell after that. I had difficulty breathing somethings but that's because of inflammation.

I'm not sure about other people's experiences with him but he made my nose look perfect to me! I love his work and he really did a great job. A few people I know and spoke to had told me the same thing. Doctor Alex does a work of art.

My experience with Dr Alex was splendid! He was great and was brutally honest. He never sugarcoated anything to me and told me what was possible to do to my nose and never promised anything that couldn't be done.
