Liking my nose
WORTH IT$19,400
I'm finally liking my new nose! I'm 41 days post op and I know it's pretty early still, but I can look in the mirror now and be comfortable about showing my face to people. It's starting to look natural and not overly big for my face. Super excited!
Still applying the scars gel twice a day to my nose and rib. I've done the nose rinse a couple of times a week just because. My rib is perfectly fine but I want to give it another week or so before doing my heavy workouts. My nose itself is still numb on the tip and nostrils, and my smile still seems stiff. But slowly getting there. I still haven't put makeup on the area where the incisions were made just to make sure it's clean and healing properly.

Finally Got my Nose Done (Primary)
Hi everyone I wanted to share my experience so far since it's been so helpful for me to read everyone's reviews on here while I planned and recovered from my surgery!
Overall, I think Dr Yoo and his team did an amazing job during my time with them. I've had surgery before (breast augmentation) and I know it's a lot shorter of a time span, but it was nowhere near as warm of an experience as it was here. Everyone from the front desk staff, aesthetian, PA and especially the nurses, were very easy to speak to and provides everything I needed.
I think the one thing I struggle with the most throughout the entire process this far has been the shock of how big my nose was when the cast came off and slowly watching the swelling go down. I hope it continues because although it's a huge difference from my original nose, I feel like it's a big big on my face and not feminine looking. I understand that it takes 3-6 months to a year for full swelling to go down, but I'm hoping the bridge goes down very soon. I don't think it helps that I have an event next week and a family wedding in 2 weeks that I'm freaking out about.
So here's my photos. Eager to hear what you all think and what your experience has been with swelling. How long did it take, etc? Open to hearing any thoughts about my nose as well lol until the bridge comes down a bit more I don't think I'll be completely happy with it!

Your profile looks great! Look forward to seeing more photos of your nose later down the track! I’m planning to get surgery done by Dr Yoo. My worst fear is the pain of the rib cartilage. How long until u can continue to do normal activities? Did u feel limited with the rib cartilage removed? Also how long did u stay in LA for?

So exciting! The rib cartilage was more annoying than painful. You can definitely start doing normal activities a few days after surgery it's just that you'll be tender in that area, so caution is key. I'm 41 days post op and I can finally do a full stretch without worrying about it. I stayed in LA for about 12 days

I am super excited. I have everything booked now. How many post op face to face consultation did u have with Dr. Yoo? I’m also hoping to stay in LA for that period of time too.

Hey I'm about to do my second one on Monday (2 month post op) via Skype. I haven't done any face to face yet but plan to next month !

After you had your cast removed by Dr. Yoo, did u have to see him again to take the tape off? Or can u just take the tape off yourself

So you are still early in the process, the bridge will go down as the swelling goes down.
Just be patient :-)

Hey! Your nose looks great :) Don't panic about the swelling, and keep going to your post op appointments. Dr Yoo will give you a steroid injection at each post op and it makes a huge difference in the result. Trust me, I was really nervous about how unrefined my nose looked until the one year mark.

Really? That's so great. I live on the east coast but hoping to get out there in April so maybe he can give me an injection!

Did you have any unevenness in your nostrils during your healing? I feel like it may be normal but one nostril is slightly rounder than the other

It is definitely worth the flight - it made a huge difference in my results so I recommend it. My nostrils were never perfectly symmetrical, but I wasn't expecting them to be. It doesn't bother me, it was mainly the swelling and profile that bothered (and still bother) me but the results were much improved after a year.
