My alar base surgery
I got an alar base surgery on the 2nd of January 2018, and this is the result about 2.5 weeks after. The surgery itself was very unproblematic, I slept under anesthesia and woke up quite peacefully. It took less than an hour. There was little to no pain afterwards, and I only used pain-killers on the first day post-op. Honestly, the most difficult thing throughout this process was the fact that I couldn't go out or meet my friends before the stitches came out - which was a week later. Also, the way my nose looked that week was quite worrying since it was swollen and even bigger than pre-op. However, let me say this: don't fret, guys. It only gets better and better, and I gotta say that I am so happy with the result. My surgeon was understanding when I communicated the fact that I only wanted a subtle difference, and no one have so far commented on the change. I honestly didn't tell a soul about it, and no one really seems to notice a huge difference except from me.
The scars are healing very well, and I can hide them quite nicely with makeup. Without makeup, they're not that noticeable either unless you're only 10 cm away from my face. The only thing that kinda irritates me right now is the dryness and flaky skin on and around the scars, but that's normal and should subside after a while.
Feel free to ask questions if needed. The decision to undergo surgery was quite long snd extensive for me, and required a ton of research, so I'll try and help if I can!
