Pain-Free Asian Eyelid Surgery

After years of wanting to get my eyelids done, I finally scheduled my surgery with Dr. Goretti Ho Taghva based on her beautiful portfolio. From the consultation to the surgery to the follow-up appointments, she was incredibly kind and she took the time to address all my concerns. In addition to the double eyelid surgery, she suggested ptosis surgery to make it easier to open my eyes and to put less strain on my forehead muscles. It was more expensive, but the ptosis surgery has made an enormous difference on the functionality of my eyelids, and I'm so grateful she made this suggestion.

I've never had any kind of surgery before and was very nervous on the day of the surgery, but to my great surprise I didn't feel any pain at all! In fact, the most painful part of the process was the calming injection, but I was so relieved to get it that I didn't really mind even that second of a pinch--and I'm typically very afraid of needles.

In the couple of weeks post-surgery, I looked a bit bruised but felt completely fine. I continued to heal nicely over time and the results are subtle but beautiful. My eyes are brighter, making me look more rested, and now, six months post-surgery, I wear very little eye makeup because I find that I don't need to! I'm so happy that Dr. Ho Taghva and her team were able to take me on. Everyone was so kind and approachable, and I will happily go back to them with any future concerns.
