Incisional Eyelid Surgery to Correct Multiple Creases on Left Eyelid

Recovery process

WORTH IT
Some pictures showing the process of recovery. Recovery after incisional surgery takes time. If you are unable to hide away for at least 1 month then you should not go for this surgery. You will definitely get some questions from your friends or colleagues if you go back before allowing your eyelids to deswell for at least a month. That was my speed of recovery, it might be faster or slower for others.

It has pretty much completely recovered. If you able to go through the first 3 months of swelling then you should go ahead with the procedure but take note that it is a very slow recovery process. I felt very self conscious and depressed initially, and regretted my decision. However, now I feel better eventhough I still get self conscious at times about the scars on my eyelids. Those will take a longer time to fade. I hope they will fade. I applied the scar gel religiously for the first 4 months but I have stopped now because there aren't any raised scars anymore. Just the visible incision line, especially the one on my left eyelid that somehow extends all the way out.

6 weeks post op

It's been 6 weeks since the surgery. It's still recovering and the Dr. said it will deswell 30% more in the next 2 months or so. Still feel self conscious about the scars. It feels swollen in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon when I'm looking down alot while writing or looking at screens. There is still mild pain if I rub my eye, most pain in the inner corners. Only solution to relieving the itch in my eye is to blink furiously lol.
