Botched asian double eyelid surgery - heartbreaking choice

Botched asian double eyelid surgery and no empathy from the doctor.

I’m breaking my silence after 5 years.
Why? Because I thought I was the only one who had botched surgery from DR. Goretti Ho Taghva. However, when I see so many dissatisfied people, I tell myself that the doctor is really incompetent.
I want to tell you the nightmare I experienced to warn you that you have a possibility of obtaining a disastrous result with this doctor. Do you want to take the risk?
You have only one face, it’s precious.
With this doctor it’s a matter of chance. A bit like rolling the dice. You have a 1 in 2 chance of obtaining a good result.
Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky...
Here is my story:
In 2018, I decided to contact Dr. Goretti Ho Taghva to operate my eyelids. I live in Canada and not many doctor are able to create a big eyelid. At that time, I was 24 years old. I trusted this doctor due to the impressive results of a patient she had operated at the WAVE plastic surgery clinic where she previously worked. When I wanted to contact her, she was no longer there.She had started out on her own clinic and did not have many reviews.
In January 2018, I had a double eyelid surgery and ptosis surgery with Dr. Goretti Ho Taghva for 5500$ US. Its cost me 7500$ Canadian dollars.
Unfortunately, the result is terrible. My eyelids are uneven. My right eyelid extend outwards and is asymmetrical to the left eyelid. She ruined my eyelids.
Sadly, I did not have any choice to contact the clinic again, because I did not have a off money to paid a other doctor to repair my eyelids.
It was a heartbreaking choice: keeping my eyelids patchy or going back to the doctor who botched her cosmetic surgery.
I decided to contact the clinic 1 year and a half after the surgery.
They wanted to charge me a fee of 950$ US to repair her mistake.
When I let them know that I do not agree to pay for her mistake, the clinic no longer gives me any news...
Because I live in Canada I can not do nothing. Well she’s a money maker and will do everything to get you as a client and after you paid her she don’t care about you anymore.
Don't fall into the trap of their beautiful marketing to buy their services.

I lost self-confidence with these eyes………

I’m sorry for your experience and hope your Dr. was able to fix her mistake. I see she acknowledged it wasn’t ideal, which is a great start. Good luck!
