5 year rhinoplasty update
WORTH IT
I can't believe it's already been 5 years. I still love my nose. Over the years it has settled and dropped a little, which made it look even more natural. If I don't mention I had rhinoplasty, nobody ever seems to notice. Most people tell me they would've never known if I hadn't brought it up myself.
I put together a short video showing my nose over the years from the front, side, and even smiling angles so you can see how it has settled with time.
For anyone early in the process, just know your nose will continue to change. Mine definitely refined and shrunk a bit during the first couple of years. I have to admit, I kind of liked it when it was still a little swollen because of the extra height. But once it settled, it looked more natural. Even my tip has a little wiggle to it now, which makes it feel surprisingly natural. Whether that's actually normal or not, I have no idea.
Big thank you to Dr. Kwon for giving me a cute, natural nose that fits my face and doesn't look "done." Five years later and I'm still very happy with it. Hope you and the team are all doing well! :)

6 months rhinoplasty update
Here I am at exactly 6 months from my rhinoplasty surgery date. Included are some side by side before & after photos as well. At the moment I do have somewhat two different side profile which I think is kind of unique. I really don't mind it at all.

Does your tip still feel stiff and hard?
Hi there. My tip is not as hard as how it was within the first 3 to 4 months. It has soften down by a bit. It'll probably never go back to how it was because of the cartilage grafts that created the higher tip. My alars are back to normal and I am able to have some wiggle room if I were to move my tip side to side. :)

3 months post op update
Still a little swelling in certain areas though looking a lot better. :) The tip is still hard (like that of our forehead). I've had a few post-op follow up appointments up to date plus another one coming up towards the end of this month. Even though appointments are usually scheduled for roughly 30 minutes, it always went beyond that. There was always enough time to get all questions/concerns in without feeling being rushed through.
Well these are my up to date photos so far. Not sure if you can tell a difference so maybe I'll post again months from now once the swelling in the radix area goes down more. :)

I love your results and look very natural!
Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to express that. Looking natural was a high priority for me and I'm so glad Dr. Kwon took all my wishes into consideration when he worked on me. :)
May I ask, why did you choose DCF vs solid rib graft? I’m debating between the two and I’m reading back to back articles on pros and cons of each.
I actually made my decision based on how many rhinoplasty surgeons prefer DCF over a solid rib graft (and read many different opinions of why they chose one over the other). Several had mentioned while DCF is known to have a small chance of resorbtion — a solid piece on the other hand is known to warp, shift and can have uneven/rigid edges if not carefully shaped. It can also possibly distort the nose over time. DCF just seemed more favored (and more common) between the two from what I've researched.
