I would really love to get a lower face lift from Dr Harley as a birthday gift to myself next year for my 54 th Bday in Sept. I finally said something to my husband about wanting to do something and his reaction was better than I expected..he said " just don't go get your face looking fake and pulled to tight....well said. Because I don't want that either. I'm thinking I will call Dr Harley early next year for details and to see if I can really make this happen. I live about 9 hours away and would probably drive down myself, have the surgery, then have my hubby meet me a few days later so we can explore Asheville and the Franklin area together. We are always searching for possible retirement cities and I want mountains nearby. That's my thought process right now. TLC seems like a good choice for the initial days, but I have also read that some women have hooked up as surgery buddies and did it that way. I've been reading and following other Harley patients and the information has helped a lot. How many nights will one need to have someone present. And does anyone know what days he does surgery on.

do your homework . i had bl on Sept 15. all you need is one person to be with you for one night and to be driven the next day to the office to remove the bandages. surgery was no biggie...you sleep and lil drowsy for the rest of the day. after the 2nd day, i was fine to go out etc...swelled up and scars but who cares. was prescribed pain pill but did not need them i had minimal pain. well since then i have to say i m not too happy with the result. i ve got scars on both sides and in back of my neck. i am a male and very difficult to hide. use scar away tape at night and durablend when i go out. wish i would have been more aggressive and asked him where and how big those scars would be. i am from up north and traveled to asheville because all his reviews were so positive . this site has a lot of control over what they publish. they don t seem to publish any negative reviews. Have to say i was on the phone with someone a few mins ago and said that is wish i woud not have had the surgery. ladies can cover the scars with hair, more difficult for men. just ask lots of questions during the interviews. write back if you have any questions. asheville is beautiful with great restaurants.

Is the scaring the only thing your disapointed with. im sure wigh more time they will improve. why is there an incision on the back of your neck. do they not follow your hairline and hide behind your ears

yes, I have never read of an incision on the back of neck, for any type of facelift, and not for Biltmore lift.

wpuld you recommend the surgery with Harley for females? I've heard concerns about real self only posting positive reviews also. I think doctors have to pay to be a member so it doesn't benefit real self to post the negative on a paying customer. Hope this isn't true.

I also agree that the scarring will get much better over time? Besides the scarring, how do you feel about your results?
My friend told me about a great scar cream. If you are interested I can find out the name.

I have read many negative reviews on different procedures on this sight. Dr Harley has a great reputation with very happy clients.

Hi RNP22. First, I want to thank you for an honest review. Before making any decisions I know we all like to hear both sides of the story. Like some of the other folks out here - I'm wondering how you feel about the "lifting" aspect of the surgery. Do you think your neck and lower face look refreshed and natural? We appreciate your frank comments.

I have seen PLENTY of negative reviews on RS so I do NOT believe doctors are able to pay for them to be excluded. Having said that, Dr. Harley by far exceeds the number of positive reviews of most every physician on here. As a man I would guess that it is much more difficult to conceal the scars without hair as an accessory. I'm not sure what was meant by scars on the back of your neck, but the BL doesn't go down your neck. I'm happy for all the people that have had positive results from Dr. Harley's expertise.

You have made a great choice with Dr. Harley. He is truly talented and gives a very natural result. I'm 4 days post surgery and have had zero problems. I have probably done a little more than I should be, but just listen to your body. It's the single best thing I have ever done for myself. My surgery was on a Tuesday. Monday I had my in person consultation, Tuesday was surgery, Wednesday he removed the head dressing, and I go back in one week for suture removal. I think he only does surgery Monday-Friday. I will be following your journey and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

so i decided to call Dr Harley early and make plans for my procedure for may/june next year. Except .....i woke up this morning with a deflated implant...ugh They are 22 years old ... im bummed I have made a consult with a local plastic surgeon for my next step. Im not sure what i want at this point. i will keep you posted about my consult. Big bummer....i wish Dr Harley did breast too I would just have both procedures at the same time....its also a money thing too...so sad
How exciting! I'm so glad you started your story and decision making process with us here. Please keep us posted as the time gets nearer.
