Quick update - 2 weeks post

The crease in my ear is gone:) I will still have to re-pierce an ear but I'm actually happy as they look much more even now. I am over the moon with my results, I don't look like I did 15 years ago, I look WAY BETTER!!
After so many sad years, I feel like I can conquer the world now.
Thank you Dr. Harley and staff!! You really are the best of the best!

I was very hesitant to do a review here but I am...

I was very hesitant to do a review here but I am so happy so far with the outcome of my Biltmore Lift from Dr. Harley that I really want to encourage any fence sitters the way that so many others did me. LilyGirl, Cemlaw, Nanana and Caribbean Girl (I may not have all of these completely right), thank you so much for sharing your journeys and photos, they helped give me the push I needed.
I will also say right off, I'm not the greatest writer, so bear with me on that part.
In the last few years I have been fighting an auto-immune disorder, lost both parents and moved to a new city (for my husband's job) where I was away from my family
and went through menopause. I went from looking like a young 45ish person to a aged and sad old woman.
This year I finally found a Dr who helped me with my auto-immune issues that did not include steroids but did include a total dietary change. I have had to stop eating wheat, dairy and sugar. I hated it but it worked when nothing else had. When I come off the diet, the consequences set back in quickly and are very painful. (Sorry, I will be leaving these details out, suffice to say they are bad enough to make me give up most of the foods I loved, including beer, sigh).
After getting better I started looking into making the big leap and finally getting my neck done. I had had lipo on my stomach in the past and the results were really bad, he removed too much and my stomach looks terrible , so I was afraid. I did interview on PS, but really felt like he was giving me a the same presentation he gave anyone at a consultation, he actually seemed bored saying the words. He proceeded to show me pictures of "bad plastic surgery", all of them well known actors, we all know the ones. I was thinking "yep, we all know this dude" anyway, enormous costs and he wanted to do a bunch of stuff on me even though my concern was my neck. Pass.
The first time I heard about Dr Harley was actually from my hairdresser who was raving about a client of hers. I kinda forgot about it and it wasn't until I told her where I was going she said "that's him, the one I told you about". She said the results on her client were amazing and after reading the reviews here I just dove in and did it.
There's not much I can add that others haven't already covered about the actual process so I'll just add to them a bit -
~I was asleep the whole time but did feel the initial needle numbing in my face, didn't bother me at all.
~I honestly don't remember much of the first few days as my sister who was taking care of me kept me on a schedule with my meds. I never really felt in any pain. My only annoyance was trying to sleep upright.
~my only real swelling was the day after when he took of the wrap, I looked warped but knew I was only one day out.
~Dr Harley, Juanita and Kelly are wonderful warm human beings but are just that, human. I sometimes feel their reputation is so good that people are expecting super humans. There were very small things that happened with paperwork and it did take a while for me to hear from someone. As far as the surgery, I have a tiny crease in one ear and may have to get my ear re-pierced to make them even. BUT my face is and was crooked to begin with, along with my ears. I had pierced my ears in 4th grade with a friend, they were never really right.
~ I truly believe Dr Harley was excited by what he would be able to do for me, and also for my results.
~I am one very happy customer and would return to him for any additional procedures.
Feel free to ask any questions as I know how scary this can be. The night before surgery I thought of every possible thing that could go wrong, from being the first patient Dr H totally messes up to a band of marauders coming into the building during my surgery and my face coming off (I have a vivid imagination:).
But in the end, it went great and was pretty darn easy. I will also add that I was an out of town patient but live within a drivable distance.

Wonderful experience, it was everything everyone else had said. I felt completely comfortable and felt like I was in great hands. I would return to Dr Harley for any future procedures in a heartbeat. I personally loved the house setting for it's privacy, no walking in and out of a huge office building. I also had visited the Biltmore (prior to surgery) and had a little vacation. Very happy:)
