Review for Dr. Karlinsky
$6,000
I recently underwent brachioplasty with Dr. Karlinsky on June 18th, and unfortunately, my experience has left me quite disappointed. From my initial appointment, I felt rushed and undervalued as a patient. Although I spent a significant amount of time waiting—two hours, in fact—my interaction with Dr. Karlinsky was alarmingly brief, lasting no more than five minutes. During this time, I felt that my concerns and expectations regarding the surgery were not adequately addressed.
Most of my discussions were with Amanda, Dr. Karlinsky's nurse, who was helpful, but I came to see the doctor for more personalized guidance. I had hoped for a more thorough consultation, especially considering the $6,000 I invested in the procedure. While I was aware of the scar that would result from the surgery, I did not anticipate that my arms would appear virtually unchanged, aside from the visible scarring.
After the surgery, I reached out to express my dissatisfaction with the results. My arms still look saggy and have not significantly improved, which was not the outcome I was led to expect. When I finally met with Dr. Karlinsky again to discuss my concerns, she mentioned that skin relaxation was a common issue, yet this was never communicated to me during our initial meeting. It felt as if I was just another number rather than a patient with specific needs.
Additionally, I had initially expressed a desire to combine liposuction with the arm lift for optimal results, but this option was not pursued, which I believe has contributed to my unsatisfactory outcome. After our discussion, Dr. Karlinsky's office proposed a $2,500 fee for a revision, which I find unreasonable given my current situation.
Overall, I feel deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. I worked hard for my money and expected a higher standard of care and communication. Regrettably, my experience with Dr. Karlinsky has not met my expectations, and I cannot recommend her based on my journey.
