Update

Went back to the doctor a couple of months ago for my last follow up. I did point out that one of my arms is slightly larger than the other one. He measured my arms and agreed that it is off by 1.5cm. I haven't measured it myself lately, but when I stretch out my arms to the side it is a visible difference. From the back you can also tell, but not the front. I knew that this could potentially happen. I am still glad that I had the surgery. Unlike most people, I have no intention of ever wearing sleeveless or even short sleeve tops. The scars will never be invisible, in fact they are still quite prominent. I would never want to risk anyone seeing them. I did this for me to look better in clothes and for them to fit more properly. My arms are now in proportion with the rest of my body and it my overall frame looks much better. From time to time I still feel my scars tingling a tiny bit but no big deal. Also, one of my arms continues to get a little numb after I sleep on that side. All that being said I would do it all over again.

2.5 months post op

Went to the doctor at 8.5 weeks post op. I was complaining of pain in my arms. I was having to take Advil multiple times a day for the discomfort and zapping sensation. I had been told that pain would go away at 6 weeks. Doctor did not seem concerned and said it might take longer due to the liposuction. I was really quite irritated with the doctor because I feel he was very dismissive and immediately went to defending his surgical techniques and methods. I was not attacking him, I just wanted to make sure everything was OK. Was looking for a little comfort. At least the nurses seemed concerned about me and wanted to talk. One said that I could have swelling for 5 months post surgery with lipo. One of my arms is still larger than the other now, but I will continue to give it time. The doctor ignored that fact as well.
Now I am a few weeks after the appointment and my arms are feeling better. I am no longer having to take Advil but they are still a but swollen. I am continuing to wear silicone strips. Don't have any idea if they are helping or not. On one arm, half of the scar is raised a bit, so I am hoping this will improve.

Pictures

Here are some pictures. Everything going well. Almost 5 weeks post op. Doctor says to start moving my arms more to regain full range of motion. Had to go down a size in compression garment. Before you purchase one, do research on line and make sure you can return it if it doesn't fit. Marena won't let you return if you just open the package. Buyer beware. Perhaps try Contour MD who at least lets you try it on.
