Update
WORTH IT$7,500
Went back to the doctor a couple of months ago for my last follow up. I did point out that one of my arms is slightly larger than the other one. He measured my arms and agreed that it is off by 1.5cm. I haven't measured it myself lately, but when I stretch out my arms to the side it is a visible difference. From the back you can also tell, but not the front. I knew that this could potentially happen. I am still glad that I had the surgery. Unlike most people, I have no intention of ever wearing sleeveless or even short sleeve tops. The scars will never be invisible, in fact they are still quite prominent. I would never want to risk anyone seeing them. I did this for me to look better in clothes and for them to fit more properly. My arms are now in proportion with the rest of my body and it my overall frame looks much better. From time to time I still feel my scars tingling a tiny bit but no big deal. Also, one of my arms continues to get a little numb after I sleep on that side. All that being said I would do it all over again.

2.5 months post op
Went to the doctor at 8.5 weeks post op. I was complaining of pain in my arms. I was having to take Advil multiple times a day for the discomfort and zapping sensation. I had been told that pain would go away at 6 weeks. Doctor did not seem concerned and said it might take longer due to the liposuction. I was really quite irritated with the doctor because I feel he was very dismissive and immediately went to defending his surgical techniques and methods. I was not attacking him, I just wanted to make sure everything was OK. Was looking for a little comfort. At least the nurses seemed concerned about me and wanted to talk. One said that I could have swelling for 5 months post surgery with lipo. One of my arms is still larger than the other now, but I will continue to give it time. The doctor ignored that fact as well.
Now I am a few weeks after the appointment and my arms are feeling better. I am no longer having to take Advil but they are still a but swollen. I am continuing to wear silicone strips. Don't have any idea if they are helping or not. On one arm, half of the scar is raised a bit, so I am hoping this will improve.

thank you for the full update. i work with my arms as i am a tv makeup artist and looks like i would have to take quite a lot of time off work!!!! IS your doctor based in LA. good luck and please keep posting.
Glad to hear that my posting is helpful for someone. I think the amount of time off work would depend on range of motion needed and I assume you don't have any heavy lifting. Your arms would probably be tired and have to gradually get used to working again. I am in Detroit area. Good luck to you.
Thank you for replying. Yes I have to lift my makeup kits. Movie/tv. A lot of carrying . I wish you were in LA as I would have loved ,to have meet up for a coffee and seen your beautiful arms.. don’t stop posting as I follow some peoples journeys and then they stop posting. Have thought of it for along time. I don’t know anyone that has had it done in LA or a good doctor that specializes in arms. I do not wear short sleeve tops anymore. I am sure you can not wait. Did you see anybody else’s arms that had it done ,to see how the final scaring is. Good luck. I wish there was a way to give you my email so I could check in with you through the months with out making it public. You are brave and I am sure very happy. X
Hi this is the third time I have tried to reply. Wish you lived in LA as I would loved to have meet up for a coffee to see your great results. I don’t know anyone in LA that specializes in arms or seen their work. Please keep posting as love to see how the scaring looks when you are all healed . I would say it could take a year to settle. Make sure to use vitamin e and anything else that helps with scaring when it’s safe to use.
I just read through your full review and journey. Thank you so much for sharing. I am reading and learning as much as I can. Seems where I live in Canada they dont really have a PS that specializes in this. I also wonder about work. I dont lift but I type all day. Did the zapping stop ?Was it just nerves fixing themselves? Please let us know how you are doing
Thank you for your comment. I am glad to know that it is helpful to someone. I think typing is fine. I have a desk job as well. The zapping did stop. I still feel a little tingling now and again at 5 months post but very minimal. My doctor was not a specialist per se, but I could see that he had done several of these procedures by photos on his website. He even said that at one time he had refused to do arm lifts, but that he had so many patients asking him to do it, so he did.
yes your journey is one of the best. I will just meet with a few and see how it goes. They all charge for a consult so can only do a few
Sorry about the doctor not being more in tuned to your concerns but your arms look amazing and the scar is practically invisible. Who did your surgery?

Here are some pictures. Everything going well. Almost 5 weeks post op. Doctor says to start moving my arms more to regain full range of motion. Had to go down a size in compression garment. Before you purchase one, do research on line and make sure you can return it if it doesn't fit. Marena won't let you return if you just open the package. Buyer beware. Perhaps try Contour MD who at least lets you try it on.

That’s too bad you needed another compression garment. I had my arms done on November 29th. I still have steri tapes over most stitches, but the pain is significantly less. We have to remember not to over-stretch!
Hope you are doing well in your recovery. Fortunately, I was able to stretch out the compression garment around the back of a dining room chair and it works now. Take care.
Looks amazing!
Thank you. It's coming along
