Arm lift with lateral lift and BA - feel free to ask me anything
ORIGINAL POST
Arm lift w/ lateral lift and B/A
WORTH IT
This sight has been so helpful to me. Inappropriate everyone who has shared their experience. I'm hoping I can share and help someone also. I had an arm lift with a lateral lift and B/A on Jan 17 2000 . I will not share much about the B/A only because I feel there's plenty of information on here about that. After 130 lb weight loss for 5 years now Its taken a toll on my body . Lots of loose skin. Feel free to ask me anything? I appreciated it when I found someone's story to be very specific and personal so feel free. Morning of surgery photos

Yes, the healing process for the arm lift surgery can be slow, at least it has been for me. I had my arm lift surgery on 12/30/19. Thank God the two openings I had on the left arm is now completely closed, but it took three weeks. I am still experiencing pain and tenderness, nothing I take pain pills for. My incisions look really good and now I just hope that I continue to heal with a nice thin incision. I go back to the doctor on Friday. I have not driven my car, cooked meals, or done any housework since the surgery. I focused on rest, high protein meals, vitamins and light walking. Hopefully he will tell me the incision is strong enough to withstand the regular daily activities of my life.

So good to hear from you. Someone who is going through the same things. Unfortunately I have had to drive and fix some meals no housework except the daily toilet cleaning haha I'm very well supported in my decision for this surgery so haven't had much help around the household area except for my daughter who helps me with my personal things . I have often wondered if that's contributing to some painful issues. I'm trying to find your posts on here . Sounds like you are still have pain and tenderness also so we're not alone right haha thanks so much I'll keep in touch

I have not yet created my review. I wanted to wait until at least 3 months. This arm lift started as a scar revision from the first arm lift I had in March 2017. I was left with a 1 inch wide scar on the very back of my arms. I continued to hide my arms and experienced depression. My surgeon, not the one who did the first arm lift, said he could move the scar and performed a second brachioplasty. My scar is now well placed on the inside of my arms and the loose skin and fat gone. I am still very scared of the scar widening, therefore I am being overly cautious. I just want the best possible results. I just want to show my arms. This is my last surgery!

Day 2
Feeling very tight and sore. Mostly through the breast area. I can’t lift my arms up they kinda just hang to the side. I feel like a football player haha I’m advised not to lift them any higher. I’m very dependent at this point. Need someone to put me up in the lazy boy and empty my drains. I can manage to wash my face and brush my teeth is about all. My hair has been pulled back because I can’t move it out of my face aaahhh I little frustrating having to be so reliant upon others. Thank God for daughters I’ve slowed down on the pain meds and muscle relaxers I don’t do well with a lot of medication. I’m wearing just a big cami because I can’t wear a surgical garment because of the under arm and incision and the incisions along the side of my breast.

May I ask, why are there incisions under your breasts? Did you have a liposuction as well? I have my surgery in about 15 days and I'm very excited

God, that looks painful. Eeek. I'm having mine done in February. Keeping fingers crossed that all is well then. Was it very painful?

Day 10
Got the drains out a couple days ago. I now have to have someone wrap my arms up with ace bandages 3 times a day. Ya we switch it a couple times a day haha been doing this since I got the drains out glad to get rid of them pesky things. Still pretty tight! I have managed to shower on my own with sitting on a chair for a few tasks. I was really sore after this though a lot of stretching etc probably to much . I felt good though to have my hair washed etc . I wash the incisions quickly and make sure they are completely dry especially under the arm area. Little more mobility but the breast area is still tight and sore.
I hope you're feeling better soon! Do let us know how you're progressing when you can.
