Silicone Strips
THESE ARE A MUST!!! So far I'm really pleased with ScarcFx strips. They work great after almost 4 weeks. I gently wash them every 3-3 days in soapy dish detergent water and let them air dry. They are like new and will stick well if there arentv any oils or lotions on the skin. I went a week without them and felt like my incision felt irriitated.
Scar Massage
On one end of my tummy tuck incision I began to get what I researched to be a "pleat" it really freaked me out especially after everything had been going so well. I was also concerned about flattened look at the bottom of my right boob which gives the boob a squared appearance to me. My doctor resassured me that everything was fine and ordered for me to vigorously massage all of my incisions. He demonstrated and it left my boobs sore girls whole day:-( I massage twice per day. I can feel hardened areas under tummy tuck incision and the massages help. The "pleat" is even going away. The square appearance of breast will improve as anchor incision softens up and there is more laxity in the skin.
6 weeks update
Vacationing in Jamaica after 6 weeks of recovering. Mini tummy incision was well hidden in my skimpy bikinis:-) I felt so sexy and was so excited to wear my swimsuits. My husband may have actually been more proud and excited than me!! Lol
